Description:

April is National Poetry month and National Letter Writing month, as well as the Write On Challenge. Shall we combine all 3 in a swap? Of course! :)

EDIT 3/25: I'm combining 3 poetry related swaps previously posted into this swap. I apologize for this change. Changes to the original swap will be in italics. Please directly contact me with questions. I have added an additional requirement to the poem and an option for an audiobook. Please note those below. I am also changing the swap dates to allow more time. This will still be an International snail mail swap, though.

For this swap, you will have 1 partner and the swap will be International. This is a type 2 swap, so it should be fairly lightweight to send.

First, you will write your partner a letter. This does not need to be a pen pal letter, or an introduction letter, just a letter to your partner. Maybe look at their profile and comment on similarity. You are not required to reply to the letter.

Second, you will send your partner a copy of 2 poems you enjoy. One can be any poem - can be a poem you wrote personally, or one you found in a book, one you read to children (And, yes, Shel Silverstein counts, and Yes, "The Giving Tree" is considered a poem. I checked.) That poem is totally up to you, however, you Must include the title and author of the poem! Please give credit where credit is due. :) One poem must be written by Emily Dickinson. Any poem written by Emily Dickinson.

Letter and poems may be typed or handwritten - that's up to you. You can use stationery or decorated paper or plain paper. I don't like putting requirements on decoration or length, as you may have noticed. But please take some time and enjoy the swap. You never know when your letter will be the only fun mail your partner gets. :)

Additional Challenge - Not a requirement for this swap, but as I'm deleting the swap about a book or audiobook of poetry, for an additional twist, consider finding an audio book of poetry to listen to, and share your thoughts with your swap partner for this swap.

If you are participating in the Write On Challenge, this letter certainly counts for a letter in the month. :)

Be sure to include the swap name and your user ID so you can easily get rated. And please remember to rate your partners. :)

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a PM and I'll respond as soon as I can.

If you are watching this swap, but not yet signing up, I would greatly appreciate a note in the comments section. Thanks. :)
