Hi everyone! Welcome to the series, ⭐️Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal INTL #3⭐️!

If you love making art journals, junk journals, paper crafts, journaling in general, swapping, and making pen friends, then this is the swap for you!

What to do:

Starting a new journal

If you would like to start a new journal, make sure to choose a non-spiral journal. Keep in mind the size as you do not want your partners to have to pay a lot for shipping. Next, decorate the first few pages with paper crafts, designs, doodles, however, you would like, but make sure to fill it up! This is all you so if you would like to make it an art journal, junk journal, etc. definitely do so! On the inside of the cover, including the swap name (⭐️Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal INTL #2⭐️), your SwapBot username, your address, and anything else you’d like.

In the first few pages, tell us a bit about yourself or really just write about anything! If you want to write a poem, short story, it's your journal so that is up to you :) Just make sure to write somethingggg. Feel free to be creative and since this is your notebook, format it and design it as you please. Just please make sure to include those details mentioned above to ensure you receive the journal back and are rated for the swap as well.

After creating the journal, this will be sent to your partner and you will receive another in the mail in which you will add a page or a few to the journal. Again, be creative and if you’d like, artistic. Fill the page with things about you or if you’d like, what you look for in a penpal. You can add little gifts for the owner of the journal as well! Simply make sure to label it as “For: ‘journal’s owner’” so that anyone else who gets the notebook knows they are not freebies for everyone to take.

Lastly, package your journal and ship it off to your next partner.

If you already have a journal

If you already have a journal you started or would like to use, you can do so. Simply ensure you have your SwapBot information on the inside cover AS WELL AS the swap name. This will be sent to your partner and you will rate your other partner once you receive the journal they have sent to you.

After receiving

If you are the second person receiving a journal, you will also oversee designing the front cover of the journal!

Tips: make sure the crafts are sturdy and will not come off. (I.e.) washi tape tends to after some time. Packaging tape helps with this) I’ve found that laminating or adding a layer of mod podge helps with this. The third person to receive this will design the back cover. These can be designed as you want it and if you’d like to design it according to the owner's taste, you may do that as well!

When you receive a journal and have added to it, HOLD ON to it for dear life until the next swap comes around. Join the swap titled ⭐️Sisterhood of the Traveling Journal INTL⭐️ coordinated by Tea and send the last journal you have received to your new partner.

Important:

Do not forget to date each entry! This really adds a lot to the journal and its nice to look back at the pages knowing when it was written.

This will be an ongoing swap so that we can circle through our journals and get these all filled up and looking nice!

Please make sure you can send your package. It is really upsetting when someone, as well as a group of people, have spent so much time creating and adding to something just to have it never sent back to them. Please ensure you can pay for postage and that you will be able to join future swaps. If you are not able to participate anymore, please message the owner of the journal and try to send their notebook back when possible.

If you have issues locating your book, please comment information in the comment section. It’s good to let the owner know when you have their book, so getting used to commenting in the section who’s book you have once you receive it is a good habit to get into. This reduces the amount of lost journals and allows the owners to feel relaxed knowing where and whom has their beautiful creation.

Rate a 5 once you received the swap and a ❤️ If it was extra special

Requirements:

5 or more Type: 3 swaps with a rating of 5.00 and no recent 1s or 3s. Newbies are welcome with a well filled out profile. I will ban anyone who looks sketchy or who does not meet the requirements. If you have any questions about your eligibility in joining this swap, send me a message and I can help!

If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message or comment below!

Disclaimer:

This is swap is open to anyone! The title does not discriminate to only one gender, I simply love the movie and wanted to create something that will reflect that in our own SwapBot way!

Hi couple of questions: 1. If you are the 2nd and 3rd person to receive a journal are you only designing the front and back covers or are you adding something to the pages inside as well. Also how do you tell what number you are in receiving a particular journal? Sorry if these are dumb but I'm new to journal swapping. I appreciate your help in advance.
