Greetings all: For July, we will continue our COVID-19 work-around for this swap. Instead of sending a packet each week, you will prepare ONE package that contains all of the month's sealed envelopes, one for each week, thus limiting the number of trips to the post office. While the nation is reopening, the number of cases and hospitalizations is spiking in some states and regions. So we'll keep this format as long as necessary. Send ONE package to your partner that includes at least four sealed envelopes with a surprise AND something to read. The goal here is to send an encouraging and/or inspiring word in the midst of the pandemic. This could be, but is not limited to, a letter from you, an article, comic, a devotional, etc. NOTE: If you are partnered with someone you are regularly assigned to in this swap series, please use your imagination/creativity to create a new experience for your partner. Be sure each week's envelope/packet is sealed and has the week labeled on the front. Tuck all four into a large manila envelope, a padded mailer, a box or flat-rate mailer. Overall Scriptural theme: John 13:34-35 Weekly theme suggestions (not required): Independence Day, Love One Another, Christmas in July, A Summer with Coronavirus. Week 1 = July 1-11 Week 2 = July 12-18 Week 3 = July 19-25 Week 4 = July 26-Aug. 1 The first and last weeks are generous. There is enough time to personalize your mailings or to find things that meet the suggested themes. Please pray for your partner, the other members of the swap, our country and this planet as we all #stayhometogether.
