Description:

Hi swappers!

For this swap, let's create an ATC-sized specimen card!

Your cards (you'll need 2) should measure 2.5"x3.5", have a square or rectangular cut-out and some type of insect or plant mounted between 2 sheets of acetate (or another clear material). Make certain the placement of your cut-outs matches.

When you print out your focal image, please copy some type of print on the reverse side.

Decorate the 'frame' however you like and feel free to add a label or an embellishment.

Hope you'll enjoy creating something a bit different!

Question - I wasn't going to print my focal image, so what exactly do you mean by copying some type of print on the reverse side? The focal point I had planned to use is from a Tim Holz ephemera pack - if I can't find an actual specimen plant worth using instead. I'm not sure how I'd copy some type of print on the back of that?

Oh, that's great! If you use a Tim Holtz die cut, perhaps just do a bit of stamping on the reverse side? I thought it would look nice if the back side of the focal image wasn't plain white. If you use an actual plant, you would probably need to use a laminator to keep air from destroying it, unless it's already dried. Your work is always lovely, so however you choose to complete the center will be just perfect ;+)

Thanks, @isabellasnow I ended up stamping an image on glassine so it's visible from both sides. :) Hopefully my partner will like it.
