The third in my series of easy crochet swaps! For this swap, you'll make a very simple and little amigurumi for your partner. It's okay if you are a knitter, if you want to knit the amigurumi, or even sew it, that's fine, too. Sender's choice, so you can start as soon as you join. Basically, we'll be making one little amigurumi for our partner. These traditionally are little dolls or animals, etc, crocheted in the round and stuffed with polyfil. To keep it inexpensive, this should be as small as possible, and no bigger than a baseball as the maximum. I think the first ami I ever made was an owl, so maybe try that, if you don't know where to start. There are many easy and cute patterns for free on the internet. Simply search for one. Use up some of your scrap yarn. Try not to buy anything new for this swap (unless you have to get stuffing. Don't use recycled stuffing). If your ami has eyes, and you don't have any safety eyes on hand, you can embroider them on. Easy swap. The only requirement is that an ami is three-dimensional, not flat, is stuffed with new polyfill, and should be cute. Beginners are welcome. If you receive a 3-D amigurumi and you can tell your partner did their best, rate a five. Everyone is at a different level. IF a beginner: Do your very best work, weave in those ends and remember to stuff your ami more tightly than you would think. It takes about twice as much stuffing as you imagine. Take your time and don't be afraid to rip back if you make a mistake! |
