Description:

This will be a monthly swap. The goal is to get to know a new saint, and a new member of the group! Everyone is welcome to join. Here is what you do:

Pick a saint from the month (October) calendar of saints of the day. This can be from Catholic Calendar: https://www.catholic.org/saints/f_day/sep.php Traditional Catholic Calendar: http://www.traditionalcatholic.net/Tradition/Calendar/index.html Orthodox Calendar: http://abbamoses.com/months/september.html

Try to find one that speaks to you. Maybe a lesser known one or that you haven't learned about yet. Or pick your favorite. It's totally up to you!

Write a letter to your partner about the saint. Talk about his or her life, devotion, and significance to you. Talk about what makes you drawn to this saint. Think of what the saint means to you. Tell a story about the saint, your devotion to the saint, or if the saint has interceded for you.

Send your partner an item related to the saint. The sky is the limit. Be creative! It could be as simple as a saint medal. Or a handmade ATC, hand-written prayer card. A holy card with a picture of the saint. A bookmark, charm, little booklet. Whatever you are inspired to send.

Since this is a prayer group, please say a little prayer asking for the saint's intercession for your partner when you send the letter. I think we could all use the extra prayers.

That's it!
