I have this idea for a swap, but I'm not actually sure what they are called. So, I'm going with Stamp Cover Sheets until I find out the real name. Which, by the way, if you know what they are called, please let us all know in the comments below. For this swap, please create one mail art item for your one partner, that uses a portion of a stamp cover sheet? By stamp cover sheet, I mean, when you purchase stamps from the USPS, they often have images on the backside of the stamp sheet....like Jimi Hendrix or the top of the stamp book or page is sometimes, like a sticker or image, like I recently used the transcontinental railroad topper as a sticker to seal an envelope. So, use an image or part of image from your stamp sheet, front side or backside, and use it in your mail art in some way. I'm not sure if other countries have this on their stamps, but I hope so. I hope that makes sense. Here's an example: Stampsheet ....Like in this stamp cover sheet you can see where the stamps are but there is still lots of image that can be used in art somehow. This shows the actually stamps, and the back side image. In this swap, you use the image, not the actually stamp, or part of the image to make mail art for your one partner. Well, you can use the stamp also if you want, but that's not what is required, what I'm trying to do is use the stamp art cover sheets in some way. Sender's choice on type of mail art. Not limited to: ATC, PC, Tags, Coins, Zines, Altered File folders, postcards, Bookmarks, flip books, etc. Please mail in a decorated envelope. And, please include your user info and swap name in your swap. Have fun. |
