Description:

Even though the Mantra of this group is "Every day is Halloween", May 1 is celebrated as the halfway to Halloween day, and this year, we will celebrate with our Halfway to Halloween Boo Box.

Many of you are familiar with our Boo Box swaps, but here is the description from past swaps with all the details you need.

Are you familiar with those monthly gift subscriptions where you get a fun package each month filled with all kinds of wonderful, fun things? Well, Boo Box is like that, only Halloween themed!

For this swap, you will take a nice, sturdy box that is either hinged or has a removable lid and you will decorate the outside. The box should be at least 5" x 7" x 2" and really shouldn't be bigger than 7' x 10" x 3" These dimensions are just a suggestion, the box could have different measurements as long as the overall size is close to what I have listed.

You will then fill it with at least 8 small Halloween gifts that will delight your swap partner. These should be as profile specific as possible, but not everything in the box has to be, just be sure to avoid dislikes. They can be jewelry, household items, nice new craft items, small collectables, plush, accessories, costume items. You may include 1 handcrafted item, but it should not be a paper item (no atcs, cards, tags, etc) Absolutely no dollar store or $1 Target items unless it is extra after the 8 gifts. No washi tape samples, or felt or foam shapes. No kiddie craft kits.

All members in good standing can join.

Presentation is everything for this swap. Please do not shove your items inside a too small box or have them rattle around, so that they break. I am giving us lots of time so that we can do our very best work. I would refrain from sending breakable items, but if you must, they have to be wrapped well in bubble wrap. This includes any items made of glass, resin, or ceramic.

I was just asked a good question and I wanted to give the answer here for all - While I am requesting that your handmade item NOT be made of paper, you can include paper items as goodies for the box, including note cards, paper note pads and gift tags. Just try to make it a good mix, with more than just paper. All items need to be brand new. Also, when it comes to craft supplies, you may include a brand new roll of washi, just no samples please.
