Description:

I thought it might be nice to add a little bit of the Writing back to our Reading & Writing group. :) This is a journal swap, BUT you are ONLY sending a few pages, and should be able to be mailed like a regular letter. Hopefully this will work to keep the postage costs down for everyone, and we can share our thoughts. :) I've done these swaps many times over the past few years, and they can be a fun way to share. (If your country isn't allowing mail in or out, and you would be interested in doing this swap as EMAIL, please let me know!)

This will be a journal swap, BUT we are only sending pages to each other, not the whole journal. It will keep down costs, keep the time between shorter, and you won't loose your journal! Sounds good, right? I hope so! You can join as many as you wish.

You may want to have a binder or folder to collect your pages in, but you will NOT be sending it out. It's just going to be a place to collect your pages. I have a binder with entries from previous rounds, and it is nice to look back on and see what people said and how they chose to do the swap. You don't have to keep these in a binder though, that is all up to your preferences.

You may type your entries or hand write them, but be sure they are standard computer page size, (8.5 x 11"/ A4) so they will fit in everyone's binder or folder. Entries should be neat and clearly written or typed. (You may use the back of the first page, as long as your ink doesn't bleed through. Pages may be neatly folded and mailed in a standard size envelope. You do not need to mail pages flat.) But you do need to use a full size sheet of paper!

1 Page = 1 side of a sheet of paper. As long as your ink doesn't bleed through the page, you are welcome to write on the front/back of each sheet, and then it should be able to be mailed as a regular 1 stamp letter.

Page 1 will be a short biography of you, about 1 page long, but it can be longer. Whatever you choose to share. (Note: If you are partnered up with someone you have previously swapped with and know, you may skip the full bio and list other information about yourself, photos of yourself, a few 'top 10' type lists, etc. You don't have to write another full bio.)

Page 2 will be a journal entry of your day or week about 1 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more than a page, that is fine. Talk about what you did, where you went, what you watched or read, a new song you found and loved, anything you want to share with your partner.

Page 3 will be a journal prompt reply. You need to write about at least ONE of these topics. If you can't do a full page on the one topic, choose a second topic to finish the page with.

What are you reading? Watching? Listening to? Trying anything new or have any suggestions to pass on?

What is your favorite place? Why is it your favorite? (This can be a room in your house, your grandma's house when you were a child, a place you lived & loved - pretty open ended, so you can use your imagination!)

Any dreams lately that you remember? Have you ever tried to find the meanings?

Page 4: Your Choice! You can collage, draw, Zentangle, write - it's up to you! Share some original poetry, favorite song lyrics, tell your partner about a great book you read, share a short story you wrote - it's all up to you. Do try to fill the page, though, don't hurry through, have some fun and take some time. :)

You will send those 4 items to your swap-bot partner. :) If you get all 4, you rate them a 5. :) Hearts, of course, are up to you.

This swap will be International, and you will have 1 partner.

Sound good? Any questions, concerns, comments? Please PM me.
