Our monthly mailer send months for 2021 have changed. They are February, April, June, August, October and December. Given that COVID-19 is still an issue -- although more and more people are being vaccinated -- we will continue COVID-style mailing and will reassess for August. (Post below your thoughts on returning to weekly mailings this summer as well as suggestions for future themes.) Instead of sending a packet each week, you will prepare ONE package that contains all of the month's sealed envelopes/packets -- one for each week, thus limiting the number of trips to the post office. With the vaccine rolling out, hopefully one day soon we can return to our Monday Mailers. But we'll keep this format as long as necessary. Send ONE package to your partner that includes at least four sealed envelopes with a surprise AND something to read. This month's theme: June Holidays.Head on over to one of the many day/week of the month sites like Calendarr or National Today or Holidays Calender which includes international observances. Pick one (or more) day/week observance for each week of June: June 6-12; June 13-19; June 20-26; June 27-July 3. Some are silly, others serious, just scroll through the lists and pull ones that you like. Interpretations of the theme are up to the sender. Feel free to have each weekly envelope/packet/package relate back to the holiday/observance you selected. The Scripture theme for June will be Unity (since a lot of the observances are with community, family or friends). Here are three for you to read, meditate and pray on. Maybe you'll find another to share with your partner. Psalm 133:1 that begins "How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity." 2 Corinthians 13:11 Ephesians 4:1-6 At least two of the primary items you send during the month should be faith based. Your partner's profile will also provide insight. Be sure each week's envelope/packet is sealed and has the week labeled on the front. Tuck all four into a large manila envelope, a padded mailer, a box or a flat-rate mailer. Please pray for your partner, the other members of the swap, our country and this planet as we all #stayhometogether.
