October 2nd ~ World Card Making Day

I’ve been making cards for over 17 years now. Not including ones I made as a teenager. I have an entire craft room dedicated to my creating, mostly card making. Are you in? Let’s make cards to celebrate World Card Making Day!

You will have two partners, send one card to each. Please make your card a minimum of 3x6” for slimline, 4.25x5.5” for a traditional shape or 5” square. You must include an envelope that is NOT lined with those blue or black marks to make what’s inside hard to see. Please don’t write in the card but do include a message on a separate piece of paper. Maybe let your partner know something about your card making - best tips, favourite sources or manufacturers or your experiences with making and giving hand-made cards.

The card must include a total of 5 layers and/or embellishments. So if you have a focal point image matted on cardstock, that’s two layers. Sequins or tiny gems count as 1 no matter how many you use. Larger embellishments like wax seals, die cuts, sentiment strips or die cuts, word tags, flowers, ribbon each count as 1. Keep the thickness in mind as you create or you will pay a lot to mail.

*no teacher/reward stickers, pixelated computer printouts or magazine pages (unless significantly and beautifully altered).

*make something lovely you’d be proud to receive and wish you could keep for yourself!

*this is sender’s choice but please respect your partner’s dislikes for instance, don’t add bugs if they hate them or themes they don’t like.

*please have no recents 3s or any 1s without a good explanation in the comments of that swap or send me a note first.

*Please consider hearts for your partner if they made a really nice Card. Extras are not the only reason to give hearts.
