Description:

Hello my lovely Oceanian swap pals πŸ’–πŸͺ΄πŸ„

I am just loving big tags and using them as mail folders at the moment! Is anyone else in the mood for some fun botanical-themed crafting? I can't wait to see what you come up with!!

Please note that I have used a lot of capital letters for emphasis in this swap, I just want to note that I am not trying to be agressive or anything! I'm struggling with brain fog and visual snow quite badly at the moment, and writing this way really helps me to scan for the most relevant information and stay focused when reading - I hope it is useful for others as well. I have heard that it can help people with some forms of dyslexia as well as ADHD.

.

Instructions

  • prepare ONE LARGE tag that will fill your mailing envelope at least 90%, with AT LEAST one POCKET
  • decorate the TAG, AND the ENVELOPE (mail art) using a BOTANICAL THEME of your choosing (some example themes would be: 'native flowers', 'ferns', 'vintage fruits', 'in the garden', 'spring meadow', etc.) you can mix and match themes as long as it fits within the 'BOTANICAL' category
  • ADD IN botanical themed flat goodies of at least 3 different types, using the golden rule to determine how much/many of each thing to include (send unto others the quality and quantity you would wish to receive 😊)
  • example types of goodies could include: sticker flakes, washi samples, ephemera, stamped images, die cuts, decorated mini tags, handmade notecards or postcards, ATCs, ribbon samples, doilies, book pages, used postage stamps, mini envelopes, craft paper, assembled decos, bookmarks, tea, labels, decorative return address stickers for your partner's address if you have a printer, flat charms, beautiful paperclips, hand written recipes for food or craft projects or origami, etc.
  • write a personal letter of at least one a4 sheet/double sided a5 sheet, including your username and the swap name, noting your selected theme and what your favourite part of making the happymail was. Perhaps include what your pets were doing while you crafted, or what is blooming in your garden, or your hopes for the summer. SPECIFY WHETHER OR NOT YOU ARE OPEN TO RECEIVE A REPLY but don't be offended if you don't get one
  • because it is a SENDER'S CHOICE swap, everything except the letter can be prepared in advance of partner allocation. However, checking your partner's profile (at least for DISLIKES) is encouraged, so that you can switch out anything that they don't like before posting
  • ONE STAMP SWAP is the aim here, so aim to keep it FLAT and LESS THAN 50g weight

    .

Rules

  • no flakers
  • no damaged or junky items
  • including extras is welcome unless your partner's profile says no extras
  • no recent 1s or 3s
  • aim for one-stamp postage (flat envelope) and if you exceed that, do not rate down if your partner doesn't go 'overboard' just because you were extra generous
  • the craft component does not need to be something you spend all day or all week on, crafts should be well prepared and thoughtful, and designed to spark joy in your partner REGARDLESS of skill level
  • have fun and look after yourself, stay healthy and safe, and don't panic!
  • no ableism or discrimination or judgemental conduct allowed in any of my swaps.
