Wooden spool Christmas Scroll

Using a larger wooden spool we will be making a Christmas ornament scroll. First paint the spool a Christmasy color. Then with maybe tea stained paper, cut a piece as wide as the rounded part of the spool. Print or type a Christmas poem or part of a poem and glue the top of the poem to the spool, glue also around until the poem strip touches the top part of the poem piece. This will allow the rest to stream below. Thread a piece of ribbon or twine through the spool and tie at the top. I’ve included a photo of the one I found on Pinterest. I thought this might be a fun and easy craft to start of the New Year!! Have fun
