Description:

I would like to do an altered playing card series for the next year that goes along with the tutorials that Cat Hand is going to do this year. She just started the series and is making a journal book to put her altered playing cards in. I will put a link to the tutorial for the book if you would like to make yourself one to put the swaps you get in a book, but that is not something we are going to swap. For this swap we will use regular sized playing cards and leave one corner uncovered, so you can tell it is a playing card. We will be starting this month with an Ace playing card. Cat puts a number one over the Ace, but we are just going to leave it with the Ace showing and NOT put a 1 over it. Once your partner gets the card they can put a 1 on it if they prefer. We will follow the prompts that Cat gives in her tutorial to make the altered playing card, but you do not have to make it exactly like she does. You can interpret the prompts any way you wish. CLICK HERE FOR TUTORIAL. The prompts for our first card are * THEME: Celebration * TECHNIQUE: Use a stencil * ADD-ONS: Use a bird and use stripes * EXTRA CREDIT: Add ribbon. Be creative and have fun, the items above should be included on your altered card. However, you can add anything else you want, but those items have to be included. If you have questions, please message me on swap-bot instead of commenting below as I don't see the comments as fast as I do the messages. Here is the tutorial for the journal book if you want to make one for yourself JOURNAL TUTORIAL. NOTE: The altered playing card pictured above is the one Cat made in the tutorial. Again, yours doesn't have to be like hers - you can interpret the different prompts any way you want.
