InCoWriMo 2022 Letter

What is InCoWriMo? Click the link to find out more. Yes, the challenge has already started and the month has already started, but you can still join in. :) Or maybe you need a few more letters to write! Or you just want to write a letter!

This swap is International and you will have 2 partners! Please be sure you are ready to send to 2 International partners before you sign up!!

Please read the entire description, including who can join! Yes, it's a lot, but it's here for a reason. ;)

The idea is to write and mail a letter or card each day of February, so try to write one card each day. Of course, you don't 'have to' write one per day, but that is the spirit of InCoWriMo. This swap is for sending LETTERS. I also have a similar swap for sending postcards, but for this one, you need to send a LETTER. One Letter to each partner is the requirement - a letter is 2 pages, about 5x7/A5-ish in size. 1 side of the paper = I page, so both sides of the paper = 2 pages. If you are using larger or smaller paper, please be sure you are meeting the requirement.
Paper/stationery and envelope decoration is NOT a requirement - words (typed or handwritten) on plain paper sent in a plain envelope is perfectly fine! This swap is about the words, not the art.

Please check your partner's profile before sending extras/tuck ins - not everyone enjoys getting extras. I won't say you aren't allowed to send extras, just ask that you check profiles.

This is not a pen pal swap, and you are not required to send a reply. You may if you wish, but it is not a requirement of the swap.

What is the swap?

One letter to each partner, dated, stamped and mailed before send by date.
Include the swap title and your Swap Bot ID on the letter, and write a nice message to your partner. Take a look at their profile, maybe you can suggest a movie or book they might like. Tell them something you did today. List your favorite songs - just be sure you write a message to your partner.

Who can join? This swap is for established swappers. You should have a minimum of 20 sent & rated type 2 swaps. (If you have several 'ratings booster' type swaps you may be banned from the swap.)

NO late sends on your dash.

NO unresolved 1's or 3's - leave a comment to show how you have tried to resolve the issue. If I can't see that you've tried to resolve the issue, you will get banned.

NO 1's or 3's in the last 6 months

NOT listed on the public forum or flaker groups as a problem swapper/flaker/ double profiler.

Your profile MUST be WELL FILLED OUT - this shows the swap host that you are invested in being a member of swap-bot, and it gives your partner something to read, prompts of what to ask you or write about. You profile should contain several sections, and include topics about your likes/dislikes, interests, hobbies. If you have pictures on your profile, they don't take the place of actual content.

The send by date is not a suggestion! It is a requirement! You should be ready to send no later than the send by date. This is a simple, flat mail swap, so have a stamp ready and a card, and you should be all set. If you cannot mail on time, you MUST contact your partner and swap host. That is courtesy, and communication can solve a lot of problems.

Ratings

You MUST rate your partner. If you receive a letter of the correct length - and with the swap title and swap bot ID & sent on time, you should rate a 5. If there are any problems, please message your partner, and your host!

Yes, mail is moving slowly but don't use that as an excuse for not sending on time. If your area of the world is having mail issues, maybe take a break from swaps to avoid problems or bad ratings.
