Description:

This swap is based on one CluckRN ran for awhile earlier this year. She is currently partially suspended and I don't see anyone else doing this swap so I thought I'd take up the reins on this fun swap until she can come back and do it again.

Do you love learning new things? I do! For this swap we will have 10 partners---that's an opportunity to learn 11 new things!

Step One: Go to Wikipedia and click "random" on the left side bar to be directed to a random article. Note: Wikipedia usually recommends very short articles...I think they give you ones that are rarely read. You can keep clicking until something interests you!

Step Two: Read the article and then summarize in an email the top three things that most interest you about the topic.

Step Three: Email the link to the article, as well as your top three interesting things, to each of your ten partners. Be sure to use the BCC function to help keep emails private.

In the words of CluckRN, creator of the original swap, "These fun facts will help you sweep the competition in your local trivia night and you'll be the talk of the town when you start dropping words like 'artocarpus'. (If you're curious what that word means, then this swap is for you!)"

Open to newbies with well filled out profiles. I will angel if necessary.

Yes, we must continue to learn new things on a regular basis. Being able to communicate in English will not surprise most people, but having none at all is unusual anymore. There are various options for people who want to learn the fundamentals of any foreign language or polish their skills when they are out of practice, and YouTube videos are a terrific way to learn English quickly. Also you can see here about british english learning channels on YouTube. Finding a solid job, travelling overseas, and even viewing the premieres of long-awaited programmes on streaming platforms have all grown more difficult without knowing English.
