Once Upon A... Dream House

This swap's theme is: Once Upon A ... Dream House!

Your belongings all are gathered, ready to go to your new home… you turn the key inside the door, a perfect place of your very own!

For this swap you will write a letter to a close friend to tell them about moving into your dream house. You are able to move into the perfect house of your dreams! You’ve been able to plan out every detail –where in the world it is located, how many rooms, the garden, décor, everything! You have a friend who lives far away and can’t visit so has asked you to write to tell them all the details!

You should write two A5 pages at a minimum and, whilst not necessary, if you wish to you are welcome to include drawings of floor plans, stick on clippings from magazines of furniture, add paint swatches etc.. Any additional elements do not count towards the two pages of writing as I encourage you to be descriptive and not just stick on images.

Think about when and where in time this might take place. Would you like to describe your real-life dream home? Perhaps you have a Regency Era grand house? An ultra-modern mansion? A self-sustaining farm out in the country? Do you live in the future with technology we don’t have now? Perhaps you are moving from depression-era tenancy buildings into a cosy little home and the simple things will bring you much joy.

Please consider decorating your envelope a little too - it always adds an extra touch of excitement and magic!
