Description:

EPUSA: Non-Deco (ATC Booklet) Swap #4 of 12

This is a continuation of our round-robin mini book of mail art. Although there was a longer turnaround time in round one, that was only to make certain everyone received their blank booklets and had enough time to label/decorate the covers.

NOTE: This and subsequent rounds will have a shorter time in between swaps. I'm aiming for three weeks (one for mailing and two for crafting). Please let me know if that's not enough time though.

You will use your materials to decorate a page in your partner's mini art journal / ATC booklet.

To participate you're agreeing to do TWO things:

  1. Email me a photo of the page that you add to the booklet in this round. Photos will not be posted on social media nor shared with others at any time without your prior consent. I do my best to respect everyone’s cyber safety and privacy.

REMEMBER this step, please!

  1. Only swap these booklets within the EPUSA group, and no other groups or swaps outside of EPUSA.

UPDATE: It was suggested to me that we sign up for multiple rounds of this swap to allow us to pick and choose which booklet to forward to our partner. Please try and sign up for at least TWO rounds at once, if you can! Thank you!!

Of course, please add art that is something you are proud to share, keeping in mind the cost to ship will increase if you use anything too rigid or bumpy.

Try to keep these flat so they can be mailed easily in between rounds. Think of them like a zine in that manner, and send them unfolded to save on postage.

Remember, after adding a single ATC-sized spread of art to the booklet, please sign, and date the back of your art on the booklet page.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, please place the booklet in a safe, yet obvious location while awaiting the next round.

Each booklet has the same number of pages, so we should have homers going back to their owners around the same time; assuming everyone who started in round #1 has participated in every round.

This means that if you didn’t participate in round #1, you’ll have to wait for the rounds to end before joining in. That way each participant of this “round robin” style swap gets their booklets back. I hope that I’m explaining that adequately.

If the 'bot ends up returning your booklet to you please let me know and I can try to make arrangements so you don’t have to add a page to your booklet if you don’t want to.

Please let me know if there’s anything else I maybe forgot to think through though.

Total pages in the book (including cover) = 14

I recommend sending these booklets in an envelope with the center pages open [ | ] to eliminate bulk. They'll mail for the price of one "USPS forever stamp", as long as they remain flat and fairly flexible.

The booklet measures approximately 5.5 inches wide by 4.25 inches tall when opened (laying flat). Folded (booklet style), it's approximately 2.75" by 4.25". There are a dozen pages inside (not including the cover). The seam is bound with two staples, which can easily be removed and replaced with sewn binding if one so desired. The blank booklet weighs 0.4 ounces.

@ÇisnerosV is new to this round and I am going to send her blank booklet today...I realize this may muck things up as far as when people get their booklets back, but I appreciate your patience with me as we work out all the kinks of this new series.
