CPG: Small Deco Booklet #351834 (Global)

Global

• You must have a reliable mail service and can generally expect international mail to arrive within 5 weeks.

A deco is sent around from artist to artist. Each person that receives the deco will decorate one page according to the theme of the booklet (if there is one) and put their contact information and name/username on their entry. Typically, each entrant in the “deco” must use one side of a page to express themselves. If a deco owner would like people to do a 2-page spread, please note it on your deco.

Size

• Not larger than 5" and no smaller than 2"

• Keep the embellishments slim so participants can use regular lettermail postage.

• Lettermail thickness. If thicker check with your partner to see if they don't mind dealing with extra postage.

Number

• 1 deco booklet for one partner. You can send 2 but only 1 is required. (Check the comments below, some people want extras, some don't.)

Stage

• Any. New (see more about new decos below), established, or homer deco.

Style

• Any style of small deco -- pamphlet, one-sheet origami-style deco (MAJ, ZGR), ICM deco, etc. as long as it's a book-style and art-style deco.

• Theme or open-theme, sender's choice.

• Include your username on your entry.

New decos:

• The front and back covers are yours to decorate and add your information. Include the your mailing address and email on the cover so your zine can be returned to you when complete. Or include just your email address and a note to email you for your current mailing address when the booklet is full.

Recommended: Covers that are too thick and inner pages that are too thick make it hard for the booklet to fold closed. Keep that in mind when making a new deco. Your deco should be sturdy but fold well enough when it's new.
