Round 2 of this ongoing swap, sorry this one has a shortish send time, I want to keep the posting dates at regular two-week intervals. If you joined on round one just send the card you received in the last round on to your partner, make sure you've added a short message and maybe a sticker or a doodle into one of the squares and included the flat extras as listed below. If it's your first time then just follow the instructions below. Any questions just drop me a message. There are lots of variations of this internationally so I thought it would be nice to do a UK version. I am an avid postcrosser, I discovered a fascination with postcards during lockdown. I never understood why people would like them until I started to get these wonderful pieces of mini-art with messages from the world. I bought lots of postcards, many many postcards, and there are some that I don't want to part with, but a postcard's reason to be is to travel right? So how about we let the postcards travel, but they eventually come home? Pick a postcard, and draw a grid of 4 squares, 2x2 on the message side. Write your name, and address, on the right-hand side and add a stamp so it can come back to you. (1st or 2nd class, your choice) then put it in an envelope and send it to your partner. when you receive your card add a short message and maybe a sticker or a doodle into one of the squares then hang onto it until the next round of the swap. Include 3 flat extras chosen from the following list. Sticker Sheet 5 loose stickers Blank Postcard (extra points if it's profile-based for your partner) An envelope you've made, any size A list of songs that you love, presented in a creative way 5 die cuts 5 sheets of paper for scrapbooking etc, I would suggest 5x7 size so they fit in a standard envelope. A tea bag or sachet of coffee A profile-based extra for your partner. I've made this a type 2 because you can probably get it all into a normal envelope but if you want to send more and make it a package then hearts are up for grabs πΊ I want to make this a regular swap so if you join hang onto your PC until the next swap then send it to the next partner, with the extras and repeat until it's full. Once all four squares have been filled then just put it in the post so it goes back to the original sender. You can join at any stage and if we keep this one going there should always be postcards out there being written on and winging their way back to us with a few happy mail extras. I'll run this swap every 2 weeks so it will be an ongoing swap. Any questions just drop me a message. As always I will Angel if needed but I hope I never need to, if you have any problems sending on time please let. your partner, and me know. |
