Description:

Here's how it works:

Just take a postcard, homemade or store bought, and send a recipe on it. It can be a recipe for anything. Soup, dessert, cocktails, main dish, whatever you prefer, but it must start with the letter of the swap. This swap's letter is "Z". You will send the (1) postcard with a recipe to (4) partners.

The postcard itself does not have to have a recipe on it. The postcard can be of anything at all, but instead of writing a note you will write a recipe.

The postcard should be stamped and mailed. Do not use an envelope unless your swap partner requests it.

This swap is open to all, International is encouraged so we get lots of different recipes, newbies are okay with a completed profile. No recent no-sends, no ratings less than 4.7. (Or PM me if you have a good reason)

Don't forget to put the name of the swap and your name on the postcard so your partner can rate you!!

*One last note. The alphabet idea is just to give us a direction. If you miss a few or if we've already started and you didn't start with us, don't be afraid to start up. The idea is to spread delicious recipes across the world :)

*I will not be able to angel this swap

Hi, this is my first swap on this site and I can't wait for this swap to start! I just have one question: the recipe's name can be written in my mother tongue language? The rest of the recipe will be written in English, of course, but I was thinking what if the recipe's name starts with letter Z in Italian but with another letter in English.

Ok, fortunately I found out a recipe that begins with letter Z both in Italian and English ^^

Can we tape a printed recipe on the back? I've had to do that in the past because of space issues and the recipe I could use for Z would need to be printed. :-)

Kari, that is the only way I have ever done it. Just make sure all your edges are secure - so they don't get caught in the PO machines!

Yay!! I love recipes and cooking so this is awesome.

Is the postage the same for a postcard from here to another country. Just wondered, don't want to stamp it without knowing forst or should I just ask at the PO?

knitmom7 07/28/2009 #

No, postage is 98 cents for a postcard or letter to another country except for Canada and Mexico . they're less. but still more than in the states! Oh yes and the postcard can be of any size,, unlike here where a bigger card takes 44 cents {I miss the cent sign)

Mommy2Blaze 07/30/2009 #

Do we not use the cents sign anymore? Where have I been? that is crazy. Dropped mine in the big blue box today!

I haven't got any postcard from my partners yet, but since I'm leaving tomorrow for my holidays and I will be back only on 14th August, don't worry if you don't see my rate, it's just because I'm abroad ^_-
