Description:

"Yet in these ears, till hearing dies,

One set slow bell will seem to toll

The passing of the sweetest soul

That ever look'd with human eyes.

I hear it now, and o'er and o'er,

Eternal greetings to the dead;

And "Ave, Ave, Ave," said,

"Adieu, adieu," for evermore."

This swap will be for 2 items, 2 partners ( 1 to each partner) and have a postmortem theme. These can be ATCs, outsider art, drawings, painting etc--anything that is roughly two dimensional for easier shipping- creators choice. I understand that this subject may be strange to those who don't have history or experience with it, but it can be a very poignant, beautiful form of remembrance; and I urge anyone with interest to research it as an art form. You can find many images by googling "Victorian postmortem photography". Some books you may want to look at are "Sleeping Beauty I and II, "Secure the Shadow" and the Thantos website has a sample gallery although it is a members site.Please let me know if I've forgotten anything or if the swap is unclear- This is a group swap so I know I don't need to say anything about flaking- Thanks all.

Wow...I just finished mine, and I must say it was a different experience. I have never truly looked at this style of photography before and it really makes you think. I was so somber while crafting my ATC's, but I learned and thought about issues I never really thought of before. I love doing new swaps like these. Thank you.

How cool Sheri that it gave you that experience. Some people think my collecting the books on the subject is strange but I honestly think remembering the dead in such an artistic way is a tribute to their life....

I think so too, thank you again for this swap.
