Guinea Pig Supplies and Fun!

You will have one partner who you will swap a minimum of $5 worth of Guinea Pig supplies or a single item worth that amount. Beds, toys, treats, bowls, water bottles, hide-aways, tunnels, books are just a few suggestions on items that can be swapped but I'm sure there are plenty more ideas.

Items must be NEW! -To avoid possible health risk to our sensitive little furry friends, all items in this swap can not be used. This means that they must be either store bought, handmade or fresh.

List in the comments anything your piggies can or can not have and if they are on a specific diet or if you prefer not to receive food items. Please, also tell us a little about your piggies.

I do ask that you have a rating of 4.7+. Newbies contact me and we can talk about joining this swap. There better not be any flakers here but if there are I can angel. If you do not receive this swap 2 weeks after the send by date please contact me.

*Adding 8/6- Other small animals who are similar to guinea pigs, such as rats, are welcome to join but expect to send and receive guinea pig items. Same rules will apply to all - unused items only please, handmade and/or store bought items are accepted.

If you have any questions please ask, thanks!

I just adopted two cute little piggies and thought that this would be great idea for a fun swap. I'm a bit new to owning a guinea pig but I'm learning. The guinea pig in the picture is my little Jig (short for Thingamajig) and my other piggy is named Widget. Both still young and still adapting to their new home in a huge cage. I look forward to receiving a fun piggy surprise from this swap. :-)

I know a person called Widget =]

My pigs don't like treats weirdly enough =S so only toys will do for them if possible. They must be chewable and none toxic obv as Africa will eat everything not meant to be eaten =] x

I don't have a guinea pig, but I have two rats & for the most part they like the same items. Would you open this swap to other small mammals?

Oh this is up my alley...with 69 rescued guinea pigs. I have a couple that love hamocks. My daughter and I just did rodent swap on craftster.org....that was so much fun. I kept all my patterns so I could make more. watching this one to see if I can fit it in...

kater- Yes I would have to say that rats would be welcome for this swap, they do like similar things and the more people who join this swap the more fun it will be. Just let your partner know and be prepared to swap/receive guinea pig items.

Panda1957- that is so great that you rescue! I've done a lot of work in dog rescue but this is my first introduction into guinea pigs. Mine are starting to use their hammocks also but still rather hide under them then on them.

What a great swap! I have two male rats - Josh & Danny (named for characters on The West Wing). They like just about all the things guinea pigs like, but are a little bit smaller.

Their favorite chews are the apple wood ones, yum! I've also discovered a lot of great small mammal treats/accessories on etsy, check it out :)
