I think it would be tough to fill the 250-count box for the "harder" letters (Q,U,X,Z). If your stuff doesn't fit in the smaller box, be like me and use a box for each letter!

As for me, I'd be more inclined to join for the big ones. The idea of decorating a little one intimidates me a bit, me being the less than artistic sort, and a bigger one I would find a little easier to do. I'd also have an easier time filling a bigger one as well.

I think I'd have a lot of fun if you start a bigger one. I'd at least join the first one to see if I could manage not to look totally artistically inept!

well with th bigger ones you could fot ALOT more...bigger items! I know every time I get a matchbox from ella i always get a baggy filled with goodies...all of which i feel would fit in well in a larger box! so I may start a larger series...and the harder letters...tha would be the fun of the challenge of it!

q=queen,quail, quilt, quiz,quiche u=umbrella, unicycle, unitard ( little gymnast in a unitard), x=xray, xylophone...and x SHAPED things would work z=zebra, z shaped THINGS....lol

You missed unicorn! Ukelele, universe, USA,

Question, quote, quest, quill, quip

Zipper, zen, zilch (empty box! Probably not), zinger (there's a tea with that name, if I'm not mistaken).

And at least it's more than one letter at a time, because then you can focus more on the other ones.

X is tough. The two you came up with are the only two I did. I should check the dictionary.

And since I'm being semi-helpful:

M: Mint, mirror, milk, maid, made, man

N: Nail, noun (hey, that covers objects of all kinds), nosh, name

O: Orangutan, optical, opera, orc (channeling Lord of the Rings here), oval

For someone who's not in the swap, I'm putting waaaay too much thought into this.

welll then JOIN the swap Gayle!!!! they are not hard!!! I thought they would be!!! And if you like you can do a large one for the MNO letters...crosses fingers that I am your partner

Hmm. I just got the oddest message compelling me to join this swap. How very strange. I didn't know matchboxes had voices. But I guess when a matchbox suggests one do something, one should take it seriously.

Large one it is. And hopefully semi-attractive!

I am so very curious what a matchbox is and where you can buy them.. if anyone can let me in on the how to's, I'd appreciate it! It sounds so cute of an idea and I wanna try lol Tracy B.

i would do the bigger matchboxes! I am always trying to find little things but like everyone else, i always end up sending along extra that I couldn't get into the little matchbox!

wolfmom2ac 06/18/2007 #

M: Martini, Margarita( I don't think I spelled that right!)mouse

N:Niece(maybe a picture of your niece if you have one!)necklace, necktie(?)

O: Octipuss! orca,.....

That's all i came up with!
