I don't like the pressure of sending extras and coordinators who force to send them. I really like the idea and the pink owl ATC swap was fun, but I will drop from the swap because of that extra-forcing.

Well...I understand the coordinator's suggestion of receiving a star if you send some extra's with your ATC...Even though I'm not here to collect stars, it stunned me to realize that even if you do send them, your partner not only doesn't give you a heart but doesn't even write anything at all to your rating... Yup, I am disappointed:(

I also took Glittersnap's statement of " Make your partner sooo happy by sending her some cute extras and get a heart for being kind" as a suggestion, not an order. I don't think she was trying to be overbearing or bossy in any way. I think we all interpret hearts in different ways. In the first few ATC swaps I entered into, I was giving hearts for those who gave extras. Then I sat down and thought about it and came to the conclusion that this wasn't fair because it basically meant that swappers could "buy" their hearts. Now I only give hearts for work that goes above and beyond and shows a lot of love and effort. Does this mean that I expect work that goes above and beyond? Absolutely not. Most of us are busy people - I work full time and attend graduate school at night and I can't send out a masterpiece every time I send an ATC. But I do my best! I think that's all we can do.

JackieMello, Thank you for taking the time to explain all that I could not. I run a business and have two kids and constantly feel guilty for participating in any freaking swaps. Your cool!

Thank you JackieMello for explaining the heart situation. I think some swappers are hurtful with the hearts. It is like their power tool. I love getting extras, and don't rate because I got extras, but it sure is nice of someone to send them. So I make sure to message that in my rating them. I love these owl swaps. Glittersnap is a wonderful artist and I am thrilled to be able to swap with her and in her swaps she coordinates. Yellow owl coming soon. And Glittersnap stop feeling guilty for taking some mom time and creating a lovely canvas. <3 can't wait to see the blue owl I get.
