OK. I was reading through the forum and thought I would try to host a swap posted in the "kinds of swaps" thread. Lets see if I can explain it correctly. We will be creating a craft with all the same materials and then send that made item to our partner. We will all have the same materials because we will all send the materials to me and I will send them out to each participant. Lets see if step form makes it easier to understand. 1: We each list (in the comment section) some material/supply that we would like to have used on our final product. (beads, thread, button, paper type, etc.) 2: Each participant mails me a package containing enough of their item for each member of the group AND a SASE so I can mail the combined items back. 3: We each make something with the items we receive and mail it to our partner. 4: Receiver uploads pic (or emails me the pic) so we can all see what we did with our supplies. Does this make sense? Feel free to offer clarification suggestions. Another question? Do we want to limit what we can do to just the items given to us or can we do anything as long as we use all the items? Obviously, adhesives would be OK no matter which option we chose. Please let me know which options (just the stuff or anything goes as long as we use the stuff) you'd like. Majority will rule. I'll put the send by date out there a ways so that there is plenty of time to send me your items and for me to send them back out. As you should list your item when you sign up, it should be easy to do the mailing to me as soon as partners are assigned. If we have a lot of international people sign up, I can move the send by date if needed to allow for the additional travel time. |
