Description:

This is easy-peasy! How many paperback books do you have lying around?

Go grab one. Write a short note of why you liked the book, then wrap it up in brown paper [grocery bag/lunch sack type] and mail it off to your partner. [Please make sure the book is in good, readable condition. Not falling apart or has food on the pages or is missing a section, etc.] A readable book :)

I know I would love to swap out my already read book for a new one - and media mail is cheap! Ask for the media rate at the post office. [Please check the comments - seems one book may be cheaper going first class! How cool is THAT! :)]

You will send one paperback to one partner, wrapped in brown paper. Tape it up well. Make sure you include a note about why you liked the book.

Please check your partner's profile so as not to send something that might offend, but this is sender's choice. Who knows? You might find some other genre to love.

Please have a 4.8 rating, no recent 1/3s and at least 10 mail swaps minimum [email and postcards do not count]

Contact me for any questions. Please Be Great & Rate!

Paperback books are often so light, that sending them First Class is cheaper than Media Mail. So make sure to have them check which one costs less.

Thanks @swan - I always thought Media [book rate] was cheaper - that is SO great to know!

I think it has to do with weight...if it's one book, first class is cheaper, but if it's many books, media is the way to go. We sent an entire box full of books to my niece for the holidays and it was much cheaper going media mail!

Oh my, the 10 swap minimum is killing me! I would love to join this swap. Please host another one soon!

I just found out I will not be home when this swap is in full swing! I hope you will host it again sometime! I sooo love the idea! :D

Everyone please note -- you cannot enclose any written material when you use Media Mail. The post office has the right to open and inspect Media parcels, and if they contain anything that does not qualify as media they will return the parcel to the sender and you will be charged the return postage. Not even gift tags are acceptable!

Thanks @Gabrielle but since the comments indicate that first class is actually cheaper you can include the note or a card.

If you do send Media mail please make sure your note about why you like the book is on a piece of paper smaller than the book and stuck inside the book.

Thanks for swapping gang!
