NOTE: this is a two-part swap. If you join this one, you must also sign up to the other one. Click here EDIT: Date of sign-up has now been brought forward. Part One Doodle something. Anything you like Γ’β¬β it could be an animal, a building, a character, a body part, something from nature, bacteria under the microscope, an abstract patternΓ’β¬Β¦. whatever flips your switches. Send it to your partner, who is going to make an amazing embroidery piece out of it. Size wise, please bear in mind that the end product will be 6x4 inches (standard postcard size), so youΓ’β¬β’ll need to make your doodle slightly smaller to allow for edge finishing. It can be portrait or landscape orientation. The basic transfer method is to draw your doodle with black pen on white paper, and snail-mail it to your partner who will transfer it to their fabric by tracing, transfer pencil or carbon paper. However, I encourage you to communicate with your partner to see whether another method could be used. For example, I like to print my design onto a laser printer and transfer it using acetone Γ’β¬β you might be able to scan your doodle and email it to your partner. This is just a suggestion. Please let me know if anything is unclear. Above all, have fun and let your creativity loose! |
