Description:

for this swap you will make 12 inchies for 1 partner.

each of the 12 inchies should take inspiration from each month of the year. Interpretation of this is open to the creator (sender) for how it relates to each month.

for example:

for january I might choose a snowflake because it snows alot here in january.

for february I might zentangle a mini heart image because of my favorite valentine memory.

for july I might do an image related to birthdays because it's when my brithday falls.

for august - I might choose an image related to thunderstorms because this is what I associate with the month of august.

you must include a note that explains the inchies and why you chose to depict each how you did. you can temporarily adhere the inchies to a sheet of paper so that your partner knows which inchie you are referring to for which description. on the back of each inchie it should say atleast your name, and the date. if you can fit it, you can also include your swap-bot name or the swap name. don't forget to include the name of the swap and your swap-bot name in the note so your partner knows who to rate!

multi-media allowed including stickers, but please no "sticker slaps" (just placing a sticker on the inchie and calling it done). all mediums otherwise are fair game. try to use a few different techniques for your inchies so there is variety in how they are made.

inchies are 1"x1" square pieces (mostly 2-d) pieces of art. newbies to inchies are welcome to join.

to make inchie blanks, stick a piece of plain white paper to a single ply cardboard box (like a cereal box, the image side is glued onto the white paper, so the reverse is brown card), or stick two pieces of white cardstock together (you can use a glue stick or gel medium). draw a grid of 1inch squares. you can embellish while they are still attached, or once you've cut them apart. the embellishing can be done on either the white or the brown side with the writing on the opposite side.

to join:

open to international participants.

you must be a member of crafting queens & be in good standing with the group.

you must have a minimum overall rating of a 4.85 with no 1 or 3 ratings in atleast the last six months.

questions? please pm me, it's the fastest way to get a response.

thanks for doing an international one too and thanks for informing me I truly consider it^^ an other silly questions about inchies again, what do you do in the end with them do you use them like sticker? sorry for the silly question but I never heard about them before I joined swap-bot

well - inchies are often traded like artist trading cards - the ones I receive I store in a three ring binder with baseball card inserts. I haven't heard of anyone using them like a sticker, but it sounds like a neat idea. I suppose if your partner is ok with that then that's ok by me (thus ok for the swap).
