Date items must be sent by:November 10, 2006
Number of swap partners:3
Description:

For this swap, you will purchase three tea towels and embroider them. Then, send one towel to each of three different partners. This means that, by the end of the swap, you should recieve three tea towels that have been embroidered by three different people.

When you sign up for the swap, please mention if there is anything you do not want embroidered on your towel (for instance, nothing religious or perhaps no adult themed designs).

If you have recieved two or more ratings of three or less, I'll remove you from the swap. It really sucks to put a lot of time into a project and not recieve anything in return.

Can the towels be the ready made type you cross stitch on?

Sounds fun! I'd prefer no religious or adult theme embroidery -- I love tea and tea patterns (hint hint).

BattyBoredButterfly... do you mean pre-printed? I don't have a problem with that, as long as you do the embroidering yourself.

any thing vintagy - i live in a 100 year old farm house so old fashioned kitchen towels are my preference. Any color.

Thank you MisaLady I was just checking! I would be happy with anything floral but any theme except adult would be great too! Lindsay

Anything sounds great, as long as it's not religious.

I'd also prefer no religious stuff. Adult themed bothers me not at all.

I just joined - I'm in Australia, I hope that's OK. Please let me know if this is only for US/Canada locals... I can't imagine what an adult themed tea towel might look like?! It might be quite funny. I indigo blue/white Japanese style combos, anything tea/biscuit/cake related, dogs, vintage. Anything slightly unusual or with a personal touch. LOVELY. (If I'm OK to participate...)

Sally, of course you're okay to participate! One of the nice things about this particular swap is that it isn't very postage-heavy even if you have to mail to the other side of the planet!

What a serendipitous find! I have just spent the weekend getting all excited about re-learning to embroider (I'm nearly 50 and did some embroidery when I was a young teen!) and making myself some pretty tea towels! But this swap will help me not put it off and just do it! How wonderful!

Nothing religious for me, and please nothing holiday-related, either (NO Christmas, Easter, Halloween, 4th of July, Valentine's, etc.). I LOVE coffe/tea/food, chef/cook, and cats.

I just ordered the Klutz Embroidery Kit from Amazon, which should arrive in a couple of days, so the timing is so so perfect! I'm excited!

I used to embroider when I was a kid, and am excited to get back into it!!!

Nothing religious please. I love the vintage patterns, also flowers, tea/coffee, pups. I am very easy to please!!!

For those who have been assigned Ana from Portugal to send to and haven't sent yet, NOTE: take a look at her ratings. That's all I'm saying.

user3119 11/ 4/2006 #

So far I've only received 1 from 3. I hope that this last week before sending is going to inspire everyone to get their tea towels in the post!
