Description:
In this fabulous swap, we are going to make a multi-drawer matchbox. You're probably thinking, "oh I've made a 3 drawer matchbox" or even a 4 drawer... Well this one needs to have at least 8 drawers. Yup, that's right, I said, at least 8 DRAWERS! But wait, there's more! Fill up the drawers with goodies, such as beads, buttons, stickers, paper, brads, etc... The theme/color is your choice. Just remember to make something that you would like to recieve. If you want, you can check the profile of your partner. Don't forget to have fun! Use 32-count size matchboxes. RULES: Please don't sign up if you think you can't complete and send out the project ON or BEFORE time. You must have no unexplained 1s or 3s in the last six months, must have completed at least 10 mail (not electronic) swaps, an overall rating of 4.8, and I reserve the right to remove any suspicious swappers due to unmet criteria, incomplete profiles, or outstanding complaints.

so is this supposed to look like a chest of drawers? Ive seen one where there are 4 matchboxes, all coming out of different sides of a larger, flatish box. Would two of those stacked be appropriate? I really want to join ths swap so I am joining lots of quick turn around mail swaps to get the 'cred' I need! hard to do in time and I might not make it. Any possibility of an exception?

It can look like a chest of drawers. If you google 'matchbox with drawers', there's a bunch of cool pics of ones with multiple drawers. I think with the swaps that you're doing, you'll be able to sign up.

What do y'all do with the matches? Or is there a place to get empty matchboxes? LOL I've only done these a few times, but I have TONS of matches ... maybe we should have a swap that uses something made with the matches???

LOL, I have a gallon size Ziploc bag filld with maches. Haven't figured out what to do wih them yet. I now Rachel has a matchbox template on the blog smewhere. Let me look for it and I'll post it.
