Description:

Borrowed this idea from Bizzles. Thanks!

We will send one decorated box to one partner. The box can be handmade or store bought. If making it yourself, make sure to use thick chipboard, or cardboard so it is sturdy. The box cannot be made of metal or plastic or anything other than the hard chipboard style paper. The box should be, at least 2"x2"x 1 1/2" deep. So that we will be able to actually use it for something. Feel free to send a larger size. The box, can also be any shape you want.

The sender can choose the style the box is decorated in, but make sure to decorate it in a way that would be pleasing to your partner (i.e. do not decorate it in something they would obviously hate). You can use any medium you prefer such as decoupage, paint, etc. You can embellish it with stamps, add a picture, ribbon, chipboard, and so on.

You should add at least two items inside the box. These items can be anything you think your partner might appreciate. These items can be handmade or store bought, but they should be something more substantial than 2 brads or 2 buttons. Perhaps, a small bag of brads and a small bag of buttons, or something handmade that will fit inside or something from their wishlist. It doesn't have to be extravagant.

RULES OF CONDUCT: Please do not join this swap if you are impossible to please. If you've never been satisfied with the swaps you receive than PLEASE do not join this swap. Do not join this swap if you are unwilling to allow your partner a chance to redeem themselves should there be any issue with the swap (i.e. missed deadlines, missing swaps, swaps not meeting requirements). The only reason you are to give a 1 is if you do not receive your swap, but it is bad form to not contact your partner to make sure there were not extenuating circumstances. If you are someone with extenuating circumstances it is bad form not to contact the person your are sending items to with information on your situation. If you are a sadistic sociopath who finds joy in torturing well intentioned swappers by giving them 1's and 3's without allowing second chances PLEASE DO NOT JOIN THIS SWAP. I do not anticipate any problems arising from this swap, but I am tired of seeing good swappers mistreated for no good reason.

Hi - is this open to newbies? Thanks :-)

Although I am not interested in this type of swap (was looking for matchbox swaps) I think your note under "rules of conduct" is awesome. Thank you for saying this!! I appreciate you sticking up for the good swappers.
