Description: | |
For this swap you will make 3 post cards in a Garden Theme from recycled material. You will have 3 partners and send 1 to each partner. Why Gardens? - they reflect the seasons so this could be a Spring theme or an Autumn theme or any season you love. Cereal boxes, muesli bar boxes and tissue boxes are great to use for this. I usually decorate the outside side of the cardboard and use the plain side to write my message on. The technique of binding many pieces of paper together to form one thick layer is also accepted. Use paint, collage, markers, collaged images or anything like to make a Garden-Themed image on one side of the post cards. You can make 3 the same or 3 different ones. The Garden Theme is open to your own interpretation. You could focus on a favourite pot plant, Zen garden, garden implements, or public botanical gardens. Anything that represents the idea of a garden to you. Include a note for our partner: write something on the post card before you send it. You could write about what box you have re-purposed, where your inspiration for your garden comes from, what you like to do in your garden, explaining your interpretation, etc. I will check profiles prior to assigning partners. I would prefer at least 5 snail mail swaps with some craft content prior to joining this swap. If you're new and can point me to your blog or flickr page to show off your skills I'll be happy. If you're worried about an unfair rating please send me a PM. Thanks. |
