Description:

We will customize a store-bought or handmade journal for our partners, according to the theme of their choosing. There is no restriction on theme - it could be "joy journal" or "inspirational" or "creativity" or "nature" or "getting organized" or whatever. You may use a storebought journal and do NOT need to embellish the cover if you don't wish to (certainly can if you want) - but inside, write (or print, cut & paste) appropriate text. This is NOT a filled-in journal swap.

Let me give you an example. Say I choose "spiritual- Christian" as my theme. Throughout the journal, my partner will write in Bible quotes, appropriate other quotes, perhaps short spiritual poems. These are meant to enrich the journal, not fill it. There might be something written on say twenty of a one-hundred page journal, and in most cases, it'll just take up a line or two, or fit in the top or bottom margins, or be a small portion of the page in some format or another. You may also embellish the inside or outside of the journal if you want to but that is completely optional.

State your desired theme below when you sign up. Your partner can always message you if she needs further information (e.g., if you'd said "spiritual" but not indicated a particular religion, she might want to check that out to keep it relevant), but generally, the content and style will be the sender's choice.

Each journal must have at least 20 additions (quotes, poems, etc). There is no particular size we're after, but don't make it micro-small. Please use a journal, not a 29-cent spiralbound notebook.

To join this swap, please have at least five "type 3" swaps under your belt, and no 1s or 3s in the last 3 months. I will review swappers before assigning partners and do reserve the right to drop anyone whom I feel may be a problem in this swap.

Would love an art inspiration journal theme.

Would prefer to have unlined journal if possible.

Would LOVE drawing/writing prompts through out. ie: Draw: Favorite sumer fruit: Write about: How you like to eat the fruit. Or anything to inspire drawing/sketching.

Hmm. I think I will have my journal be about my oldest child Emily. At 12, she's on the cusp of womanhood - she seems like 12 going on 17. I would just like to record a few reflections about her, maybe do a bit of art, perhaps have others add comments or stories - then it'll make part of her Christmas gift.

I guess, quote-wise, the gist would be girlhood/womanhood. I'm open to small illustrations in place of some of the quotes if you're so inclined.

I, too, would probably prefer unlined - but either will work for me.

I'm going to be moving while the swap is going on, unfortunately, but I should be able to still do it. (It's just across town). I'll just have to use my time wisely. It sounds like a lot of fun, so I can't pass it up! :) Both of you, your topics sound really fun to do!

I would love a spiritual (Gnostic) journal. I have a section on my profile about my spiritual stuff, but if you have questions or anything, just ask.

I'd prefer lined, but either will be fine for me, especially if you find a journal that just seems right.

I would like a journal with some prompts in it for creative writing/and or Art journalling Lined or unlined doesn't matter but I think I would prefer a combination
