For one day, collect the receipts, tags, fruit stickers, candy wrappers, and other miscellaneous debris/ephemera that comes your way. Then, glue it all (or some of it) to a 4x6 inch piece of cardstock or 'discardboard'. (cardboard from a cereal box or other box is fine). Doodle, or paint, or crayon under or over your ephemera (if you want to). Write a message on the back, something about your day, maybe a clue where one of the bits of debris came from "I had a twinkie today and I haven't had one for 10 years!". Something deeply philosophical like that is just fine. :-) Put it in an envelope, and mail it to your partner. You can add other bits of pictures, etc, for color or whatever. Just make sure it has at least three bits of ephemera that were collected from your day! Newbies are fine. Please don't flake on this. It's easy and fun. | |
