Description:

Openly and unashamedly stolen from the movie "Cocktail" for those others of you around my age thinking this theme sounds familiar!

In this swap, you will be assigned 1 partner. Please create and send to your partner, your own obituary. This can be as long or as short as you want it to be (real obit's can vary from real short to several columns, but even if you write 5 pages, that's okay too!). You can write it on plain, unadored paper, nice stationary, or on a handmade decorated page - or you can type it up as a "real" obituary looks..or create a wooden plaque... It's completely up to you how you would like to create it - be as creative as you would like to be! You can even include a photo of you affixed to it as well if you wanted....the possibilities are endless.

This DOES need to be sent via regular snail mail - no emails, sorry. This is open to international swappers. Newbies are welcome. I will angel this swap if needed, but no one's gonna flake on their partner, right?

We did this at work many years ago and had so much fun with it! I have trouble with handwriting anything too long due to arthritis and carpal tunnel, so can't join, but I hope you get a lot of takers!

Oh, my goodness what a fun and thought provoking idea!

hahahahaha! That´s really funny, Stephanie! I´m in!;)

Do you actually mean handwritten, or just sent through the mail? Real obits are typeset in the newspaper. I love the idea but don't get for this restriction????

I'm sorry for the confusion...I mean sent via mail, not email. You may of course type it, or paint it, or calligraphy it...burn it into wood if you want LOL I just mean that you can't type it up and email it to your partner :) I'll modify the description to make it more clear!

Thanks for clearing that up, Stephanie. I do have a woodburner, but that might lead to a very concise obituary. LOL

We'll save the woodburning for an epitaph swap then, eh? LOL j/k

The writing process is an intricate and personal journey that varies from one individual to another. While assistance from a service like paperwriter https://www.instagram.com/paperwritercom/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y%3D can be beneficial, especially for those facing tight deadlines or seeking guidance, it's crucial to engage deeply with every aspect of writing.
