this is the perfect swap for me, having recently bought some greeting cards just for this purpose =D thanks for hosting!

I too like the idea of this swap and feel we should have more of these in the future.

Keep in mind that card sizes that dont conform to the Postal Service standard(s) in our/your country might require additional postage.

Are these to mailed in an envelope or naked?

aubreysmom 01/15/2011 #

I would put some sort of backing on mine usually. Is this what you have in mind or just the card only?

maggie16 01/15/2011 #

I assume naked - written + stamped, right?

CindyST 01/17/2011 #

Cut the back part of the card off, then send naked, written and stamped just like you would a normal postcard.

The United States Postal Service defines a postcard as: Rectangular, 3-½ inches high x 5 inches long x .007 inch thick

Some people might be thinking of using Christmas/birthday or other greetings cards...so I thought I would ask if these are acceptable or not, please? Just so that everyone knows what to expect.

Thanks a lot

Any kind of card is fine as long as it doesnt look like its been through the mill. So I would say its probably best to get something new/newish. Im not sure how the person receiving the card would feel about writing on it, especially if it relates to a holiday/birthday, so maybe one without a message relating to any of those would be better.

Jjean 01/24/2011 #

Can these be sent in an envelope?

CindyST 01/25/2011 #

No, the idea is to make them postcards. You can however check with your swap partners first and see if they will send you yours in an envelope but they dont have to.
