INTERNATIONAL

Hi everyone! I have tried to start a couple of book swaps but I have had to cancel due to the fact I had to move. So I will try again! :)

I love romance and historical romance books, so I thought I would start a themed book swap!

You will have one partner who you will send a romance book to.

Please send a book in good condition just like you would like to recieve.

If you have any preferences to what type of romance you would like them pls list it or stick it in on your profile. eg I don't like Mills and Boons novels.

-No rips on the cover. -Spine must be intact. -No pages falling out. -No filthy books.

The book can be used, but in good condition. If you want to buy brand new then that's fine too.

Guidelines

-Newbies allowed, but you must have a very well filled out profile. Newbies pls msg me first before joining.

-4.7 and up.

-No more than 2 no sends in the last 3 mths.

-Filled out profiles.

-I will ban people if they haven't logged on for more than a week. -I don't consider url/email feedback as true feedback. So if that's all you have then I will ban you.

If you have any queries of questions pls PM me or leave a comment.

Thanks.

Do we have to pick something our partner wants or can it just be one we like and are willing to pass on to someone else?

embryonichappyperson 10/17/2007 #

Hmmm....yes if a person has any preferences to what type of romance then please list it. But yeah I have what type of romances I like on my profile. I might edit the swap outline for that q....

CelestialFreak 10/17/2007 #

I asked because I have many that I'm willing to share, but I don't know that I have the budget to go shopping for books right now...

Sorry to be filling up the board, but I had one more question. Is media mail an expectable way of sending? I don't know if media mail goes international, but I do know that it is cheaper then standard mail, and when I was last at the post office she said that they take the same amount of time. If I'm pared with others in the U.S. I'm fine with receiving Media mail, and I'd hope it's OK for me to send that way too.

YEAH!! I have been waitting to get my firt rating so I could start one of these!!! Woohoo! I have so many romance books and I have read just about all of them!!!! I am so in on this one!!!

Skyfire 10/17/2007 #

OHH I got so excited I forgot to say what I like. I like almost all romance. I don't care for the Religous romance or the really old ones you know that were written back in 1954! If the book is a little worn it doesn't bother me!!

CelestialFreak...is media mail like what you call surface mail? Here in Australia we only have airmail and seamail and seamail is the Aussie version of surface mail and takes 200 years to arrive. I use airmail all the time for everything even though sometimes its expensive. But from what I have read on the forums and about the USA, (I assume your American lol), that media mail is virtually the same as airmail or I think what you fall first class international.

So yeah use media mail if you wish! :))))) lol! But yeah media mail in your own country is fine too.

embryonichappyperson 10/17/2007 #

Duh you put your in the US on your msg....

I have my romance book preferences on my profile but I thought I would add them here too. I would definately not like to recieve any Mills and Boons novels at all! lol I love historical romances, tacky romances, and romances with a decent storyline. I don't mind romances with other topics incorporated into the story.

CelestialFreak 10/24/2007 #

Media mail goes the same as standard, which is just under first class. It's also sometimes called book rate. I didn't know about it until I started selling a bunch of books using Amazon.com

For the fellow Amazon.com lovers it'd probably be a decent idea to put the link for your wish-list on your profile here.

I wish australia had different mailing choices. Instead of just airmail or seamail.....no inbetween!

xNurseNinax 11/20/2007 #

Mine is in the mail to my partner. Happy reading!

Can anyone help me out here, when I signed up for this swap I thought I could send the book through media mail to Australia. But come to find out it is a little more than I thought to send to the great Down Under. Would anyone beable to please send our (lovely) hostess a ROMANCE NOVEL. I apologize I should of never signed up for the swap in the first place. Mailing things has just gotten to expensive so you could say I think I am done swapping.

buttercup 11/27/2007 #

Oh one more thing, I can easily send my lovely book that I got in the mail to someone here the US if they would like me too. I am just trying to fix a problem that really should be easily fixed.

embryonichappyperson 11/30/2007 #

Oh dear looks like I'm not getting anything for this swap!
