In Sweden we have something called minnespoststรยคmplar (for example: http://www.posten.se/c/minnespoststamplar) and I am pretty sure you do have them in other countries too. In this swap you will send one postcard to two people that has a special postalmark on them. No hand-made cards. No ad cards. If suitable I would love if you could match the postcard you send with the special postalmark. March 26 is the last date you should send your postcard to get re-mailed. Try to get the re-mailing date sooner than later, so your partner doesnt have to wait until August for that special postmark. :-) Since this is the first time I do a special postmark swap I would ask you to communicate with eachother on this swap, if the swap takes longer time than usual. Since the postcard is first sent somewhere else to get that stamp, it might take a while before it reaches you. In Sweden the postoffice has a webpage where I can see what postmarks are coming up and even get my postcards stamped within a year after that date. I am not sure how it works in other countries. In USA I think it is maybe called re-mailing: I found this about St. Patricks day: http://www.usps.com/postalhistory/_pdf/POnamesStPatricks.pdf#search='re-mailing' This is the first time I am hosting a swap, so if there is some things that are not clear, please let me know. And if you learn about stuff re. postalmarks/re-mailing that might benefit others, please don't hesitate to make a comment :-) |
