5†Charm Square Swap #37 5†Charm Square = a 5â€X5†cut of 100% cotton fabric (no see-thru thin fabric or loosely woven fabrics) 2 partners each to receive 20 five inch print charms (no plain fabrics) total 40 charms sent When aiming for a heart, read your partners profile for ideas on what color prints to send. Be kind and send good quality fabric, nothing too thin or loosely woven. Our goal is to use these charms in various long-lasting quilting/sewing projects, and that means the fabric needs to be able to stand up to washing and lots of use. Always send what you would want to receive. You can send up to 2 charms alike to each partner, so if your supply of good quality print fabric is limited, that means you only have to have 10 different prints. Suggestion: take a 10†square cut of print fabric - cut it into halves, then halves again…and there you are…you will have four 5â€X5†print charms, 2 for each partner. Measure and cut accurately. Don’t let the guides for making these charms discourage you from joining. You’ll find that once you get used to the few guides listed, you will love sending and receiving these great charms. They will become a staple item in your sewing stash! They are in mine! Newbies welcome with a 5 rating and 3 snail-mail swaps to their credit. Seasoned swappers must have a 4.8 rating and no “1’s†in the last 6 months. I will angel this swap…..and you know my drill…I will publicize if you flake and ban you from my future swaps. |
