This is a swap for thoughtful, superb, US based swappers only - to send and receive a delightful package once the holidays have passed and we all have time to swap goodies again.

IF this goes well and everyone likes it, I'll host this one regular basis, perhaps dropping down the value to $5-6. This way everyone can sorta do a tag/pib/pif without having to risk the Forum Games!

If you do not meet these requirements, you will be banned. I will read everyone's profile and ban swappers the day the swap closes, but not before, in case people are working up to the 25 heart minimum.

Requirements:
Rating of 4.9 or better
25+ hearts or better
Zero no sends
Zero complaints from fellow swappers
Zero mention in the Questionable Swappers Forum
Zero mention in the various swapbot member check groups on Yahoo
Zero controversy

Zero pickiness - I am SICK of people who only list really expensive, hard to get, very specific items in their profiles.

All items are to be general and NOT BRAND SPECIFIC! If you only wish to have specific brands, brand names, please drop from this swap - I will ban anyone who appears to be a real stickler for specific brand name items or items in their profiles, especially if you are known to hand out 3's for lack thereof.

You will have one partner to send to. Please put together a profile surprise, in the value range of $8-10 dollars before postage (so the total cost including postage is in the $10-14 range; you are welcome to go over but the min value should be $8). Please include at least 1 handmade item and 1 store bought item.

Items can include: paper goods (atcs, notecards, stationary, swap cards, postcards, ephemera, stickers, punched paper shapes, chunky books); crafting supplies (beads, buttons, ribbon, fiber, fabric, yarn, punches, markers, gel pens, colored pencils); jewelry; bath and body; food.

This swap is not limited to just this list - any nice items are fair game - please make this a package you would be delighted to receive yourself. It is my expectation that everyone will send a package worthy of a 5.

Swappers please make sure your profiles are up to date for items/colors/wishlists. Please contact me if you have any questions.

I hope this swap will encourage the many superb swappers to step back into the fun - I miss you, you know who you are!

angelstar--you have the right idea, taking it easy to avoid being overwhelmed.

The way to get hearts is to provide more than is expected--lots of good communication with your partners and comments in the swap, putting extra TLC and special little treats into the packages, sending early (or at the very least on time!), reading your partner(s) profile(s) and making the packages personal. It takes time and some effort, mostly caring what you send out.

OK, here's something odd. I read my partner's profile very carefully and try to come up with something he or she would like. Sometimes that is hard. I never read my own profile. Believe it or not I was shocked to see I had enough hearts (and then some!) to join this swap! So I am going to go back and refine my profile and join up! I said before this is a great idea and I mean it! My only "pickness" is that I just really don't like the vanilla scent - it makes me ill. Hope that isn't too picky!

Thatzghetto - yay, welcome back! Girl, you can make a bookmark, I know you can:) Mutantpenguin, you are fine with a request for no vanilla....it's the people who insist on "I only want items hand made by pygmies in the Amazon on Tuesday" brand people that drive me crazy.

Y'all - this is an open ended swap and I do expect everyone's profile to be robust enough to have general likes and dislikes and be open minded about what you get. It's a surprise, remember!!

Okay, given the requirements I've decided to join. The last three bigger swaps I've joined were horrible failures on what I received, or, rather, didn't mostly. I'm sincerely hoping this one goes better. I like the idea of bigger swaps, rather than just little stuffs!

I'm not picky, except about following the letter and intent of a swap. :) I even like black licorice!

I'll try and add to my profile to help in ideas.

Baked goods will totally make it in the mail -- I've been in 2 baking swaps and both were fantastic! Just pack it right and send priority and that is good!

Hi OrigamiGrace ~ After 58 swaps completed and 93 hearts, I cannot join this swap because a partner gave me a "1" without ever letting me know that she did not receive her package even though the second partner in this swap gave me an excellent rating plus a heart back in November. I've considered leaving Swapbot over this and may yet - depends on how many swaps I cannot join because of it. I am crushed.

I cant join because I don't have enough heart (lol), but amen on the strict requirements! Especially the 'pickyness' part (drives me nuts as well). Hopefully one day I can play along too, good luck and happy swapping :-)

Oh i wish i had joined swap bot sooner! I am still new to swap bot ( though i have my own yahoo art group ) and i love to do bigger swaps. I have so much fiber and tons of everything to send out. Well maybe next time. I am peddling as fast as i can to get some hearts :-) Got one on my first swap , so i am encouraged anyway! Have fun y'all!

I'm really torn, I wanna sign back up, but I still have to get a new toolbox for my hubby and some other things. At least with my new sewing machine I got for Christmas I've been able to repair some of his clothes which sort of is like giving him more... Sorry, I don't mean to ramble about being poor, I just have to be responsible at the moment and not join so I'm pouting. Is this swap going to continue in the coming months? Maybe I can get in on another one in a couple months.
