Description:

It's time for that mellow yellow mood (again)! For this swap you should find 2 postcards that have yellow as a dominant color in them. You know the drill by now: if it's something like a photo with some yellow, some other colors, it's OK if yellow isn't more than half of the area. But it's important that the card contain the color yellow in some striking way.

I'm sayin' we can be flexible and go with any shade of yellow: canary, mustard, buttercup, goldenrod, whatever. (Later on, we'll try some swaps with more specific hues...)

Handmade or commercial--either way. No tourist cards, though--unless they're ancient & not your usual postcard!

You will mail 1 yellow postcard, naked & written on, to each of 2 partners.

Say. if you're into colors, and interested in this series, please do use the comment section to suggest favorite/unusual colors we should do. I love it when people comment...about whatever you feel like sayin'! =grin=

Pink is my favorite color, so of course I would love a pink swap. Including all shades of pink, rose, mauve, fuschia, hot pink, bubble gum pink. Any shade of pink.

Sorry pa but I would pay melusina not to do a pink swap! lol

How much? how much? =holding hand out=

Sorry, Krista, but I will eventually do a pink swap. I'm not into cutesy plastic toys targeted at female children, either, but there are many pretty pinks in Nature and Art.

Does gold count as yellow?

FiWebster 04/25/2011 #

Gold like the color of a sunflower counts as yellow, for sure--but not metallic gold.

In that case, I vote for gold/metals for a future swap!

FiWebster 04/29/2011 #

'Sounds good to me: we could have a series called celebrating materials and have different-colored metals plus wood, stone, etc.

By the way, all of y'all's ideas have been great--color combos, etc.--but I want to get through the rest of the rainbow before we start doin' other ones. =grin=
