Description:

Make old things new and give something a new purpose. I hate throwing away old t-shirts and clothing because I know that there is still another use for them. Why not take an old garment and turn it into a new one. Each person will have one partner that they must reconstruct something for.

You will have a month to take something old and give it a completely different life. These old things can be vintage t-shirts or old bed sheets. Maybe even a dress that doesn't fit anymore could be made into a skirt. Remember to tell your partner what it was before you reconstructed it.

You can leave a comment stating whether you'd like something made out of a shirt or made into a shirt. But you don't have to be limited to t-shirts. And you can always leave it up to your partner to surprise you!

Newbies are welcome if you have a filled out profile. If you have any recent No-sends you must contact me before you join the swap. This swap IS international!

This is my first time hosting a swap and I hope it goes well. I'm really excited to see what people do with this swap! Message me if you need more info.

Does the reconstructed item need to be a garment? When I do stuff with t-shirts, I find it hard to tailor for other people unless they are right there (I'm not an expert seamstress, but I make garments for myself). However, I do make other things with old clothes. Please let me know.

Hi Harold8Maude! Got your message. A question - my sewing skills aren't that great - if it is ok with people can I maybe make a bag or simple A-line skirt for my partner with the t-shirt? I've got a few old ones that I loved but are no longer fit for wearing

Hi, I am a newbie and this is something that I have been doing every since I was 8 years old. I would tear up clothes that were worn and repurpose them into something else. Can everyone just list their measurements like their bust and waist also hip, and if they are petite. Halter tops tube tops are easy to make too, if one can provide their measurements. I'm in, I really like this swap.

arrrgh sorry I don't think I'm going to be able to afford the postage (this along with a couple of other swaps I've had to drop out of) - let me know if you hold a similar swap in the future!
