Sept.30 : I have taken a near 2months break from crafting and happy mail due to personal health reasons. I apologize for any delays that have occurred due to that. I am now currently working on getting everything up to date (message responses and rating everything Iโve received!!)
Hello everyone ๐๐ผ my name is Anna (22f), currently living in Rhode Island USA, and I absolutely love crafting and penpalling! I have been a part of the happy mail community for about 8 years now and I never plan on quitting.
My favorite color scheme is definitely neutral fall colors (yellows, browns, oranges) although my favorite season is a tie between spring and summerโจ and I am a sucker for mushrooms.
As for my personality, even though Iโm only a young 22 years old, Iโve always been labeled as having an old soul and that my spirit radiates one of the 1970s.
๐ข one last little note - I am a huge nerd when it comes to the RMS Titanic, specifically the 1912 ship. In the odd chance that you have a postcard or any goodies that are related to that, I would absolutely adore and love you for that (I'll even go as far as to say i'll accept that over any postcard themed swap I sign up for!)
I am also a fan of the movie and would adore anything related to it as well, but my fascination is more geared towards the majestic ship itself โฅ๏ธ
I honestly love all types of music, but I will try and narrow down my absolute favorites to make things easier for you :)
Likes:
Twenty One Pilots (my #1 musical artist!)
Taylor Swift
ABBA
Chappell Roan
Queen
Panic! At The Disco
Bastille
Musicals (Hamilton, Rent, anything by StarKid, and more!)
KPOP (specifically girl groups and anything 2nd gen)
Dislikes:
I am a HUGE movie nerd! At one point I was even a manager at a movie theatre just for my love of movies (and for the free movies of course.)
Some of my favorites that come to mind first are:
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (I even have a Gene Wilder tattoo of him as Willy Wonka simply because I admire this movie so much!)
The Greatest Showman (Another movie I have a tattoo for!)
Any Barbie movie from 2000-2007
The Lovely Bones (it's my go-to cry movie)
10 Things I Hate About You
Joker (saw it at lwast 20 times in the theatre)
Pretty much every Pixar movie (Cars, Up, Monsters inc, etc)
Anastasia
Hercules
Anything by John Hughes
I love pretty much everything paper craft related. For the people who like a list, i'll try my best to create one:
stickers (all except kid/reward stickers)
washi tape
craft papers with designs
envelopes (big and small)
die-cuts
doilies
stamps (rubber and postage)
lace ribbon
notecards
notepads
tags
bookmarks
pretty much all ephemera you can think of or supplies that can be used in collages and happy mail creations.
Dislikes:
Sticky notes (i just don't use them so any i receive inevitably are added to my 'get rid of pile' and will be put in my outgoing mail as goodies)
Loose glitter (it's just messy! I'm okay with it being used in your crafts as long as it doesn't fall off when handled (like in shakers)
plastic washi tape (i find that it doesnt really stick well and tends to be much too thick for my liking)
scraps (I know some people like receiving paper scraps as they can use them, but i'd much rather prefer paper that hasn't been torn/cut already)
I LOVE POSTCARDS!!! I like pretty much all kinds but will provide a list mainly of my dislikes
Dislikes:
anything you wouldnโt want a child to see (nudes, gore, sexually or explicit, etc) I often collect my mail with my younger cousins and I donโt want them seeing anything they shouldnโt. Anything pg13 and under is perfect!
cut out / oddly shaped postcards (they don't fit in my boxes and binders and I honestly find most of them ugly)
Super elongated postcards (again, don't fit in my storage boxes and binders)
un-professional handmade postcards. (I'm all for handmade postcards, but I prefer ones that are made more thoughtfully and professionally, not just paper glued on cardboard, or a few scribbles with a colored pencil. Save those for someone else who prefers them. If you make more professional art and turn them into postcards though, ill gladly accept them!)
This one is a little wordy but trust the process: recycled/already used postcards. I know I shouldn't have to say this but in the past I have received a few postcards where someone just printed out my address and taped it over an already used postcards address with a stamp ontop of the cancelled stamp. >> I WILL HOWEVER ACCEPT USED POSTCARDS AS EXTRAS IN AN ENVELOPE!! Just don't claim one as your own writing and work with my address slapped over your old one. (If you don't have any blank postcards, you shouldn't be joining postcard swaps anyway!) (also, this doesn't apply to anyone on swap bot, this has happened to me over on postcrossing!)
