About Me

2801;

PLEASE NOTE: I prefer my postcards to be mailed naked. Thank you.

depression is a flaw in chemistry not a flaw in character.

I'm off of school for the summer so I'm going to give this another try. I hope I don't get any postage due swaps.

I'm a senior at University, studying history with a minor in art. I belong to my local Women's Club, where I am Chairperson of the Arts Committee.

Recently moved back to Florida after living in Chicago for 27ish years. Glad to be back home, see my friends from school, spend time with my 89 year old father, and slow down a bit. I feel like I was running all that time and now I can relax and have a glass of sweet tea on the front porch.

"Making objects of beauty is a revenge on depression." - Matjames Metson

I was in a band called The Sump Pumps; playing percussion and singing backup.

I am a former tour guide for Chicago Hauntings. This is a ghost hunting tour created by Ursula Bielski, a world-renowned author and ghost-hunter.

I am a firm believer in the paranormal.

I was struck by lightning when I was 12.

A piece of my artwork is on permanent display in Malaysia.

I once stalked Bono outside his hotel room in the freezing cold Chicago winter and had my picture taken with him.

I am tattooed and I love well-executed tattooed skin. I don't understand how people can let someone practice tattooing on their skin; it often looks like a three year old has used a crayon on you. That sh*t is permanent! I also feel tats are an extension of me; my beliefs, my art, and as such, should be beautiful.

Flakers and Vile Swappers

Rating Policy as it pertains to evil swappers and vile flakers.

On this issue I will not budge. I am a patient person and will give extra time for many reasons: life, mail, weather, sickness; but the minute you ignore me and/or lie about it, all bets are off.

Also be advised that once a "3" or a "1" has been issued, it will not be rescinded. I do not bandy about with the "1" and "3" buttons and only issue them in the direst of situations. In fact, I've only issued one "1" and no "3's." You could send me the winning lottery numbers to the largest pot of gold in the world and your rating will not change.

If you do flake on me:

A pox upon you! I will gather all manner of beast, and using "The Force," I will send them to your place of residence where they will lick your windows with their slimy beast spit and breathe their stinking beast breath deep into the bowels of your most prized possessions. A smell, I assure you, that can never be eradicated.

Furthermore, I will do everything in my power and use every method at my disposal to ensure that other swap-boter's are aware of your loathsome, vile, wormy behavior.

Everyone will know your name; you won't be able to swap a quarter for two dimes and a nickel.

Get it?

Hell knows NO FURY like a LoraRae flaked.

You have been warned.

FLAKED June 16, 2012
I am an original member of this site. I've been on since 2006. I guess I've been lucky up to now; I am saddened to report that I have been flaked.

@VAGrammy66 - flaked for the "Inspired by Postage Stamps Booklet." NOTE: She was rated a 1 for this but did some charitable act at Christmas and has the rating removed.

Comment: Received the PC, thank you very much. I just got back from visiting my daughter and grandchildren in Salmon Arm BC, the hottest day I believe is 38°C, a little way too hot for this northern girl. It was nice to come back home to reasonable temperatures of 24°C, but it's awfully smoky to the forest fires. Good luck with your continued studies. As a mom of the university student who finished a Science degree I know how hard it can be how much work it is. Congratulations on all you've accomplished so far.
