I am a devoted wife and currently a stay at home Mommy. I have one daughter who is 4. She has an extremely active imagination which my hubby and I are always encouraging. I'm also currently expecting our second child, a boy, any day now!
UPDATE: Calvin Edward was born on August 19, 2009. He was 8lbs, 8 oz and 22 inches long! We are so excited to finally have him home!
I'm caring, empathetic, sometimes too trusting, careful, creative, fun. I love to love people. Sometimes I need my own space. I believe in Fairies. I want to be a Pirate for a summer. I love to garden and get dirt under my nails. I believe in Magic and in Prayer, and the Magic of Prayer. I love to sing, sometimes I feel like dancing, Green is my favorite color. I'm a Hoarder of notebooks, journals, and pens and pencils, Collector of papers, bits of string, and a picker-uper of rocks, leaves, acorns, and feathers.I Love to read, Love to write. I'm a Seeker of new knowledge,I Long for wisdom. I'm a Feeder of cats, squirrels, and birds. I Love thunderstorms and the wind, and I Like a good cup of stong coffee with lots of vanilla flavored creamer.
I will go out of town just for the bookstore. I can spend hours in the school supply section, so don't even take me to Michael's Crafts or Office Depot unless you are packing a water bottle and a snack for yourself. I don't like to read to books, I love to lose myself in them. I love to walk barefoot. And the reason I am here is because I love to send and recieve mail, real honest paper and stamp mail. I love to know that it meant something to somebody.

For the purpose of some swaps done for family members here is a little bit more about my family:
Nadia- She is 4 years old. Her favorite colors are purple and blue and she especially likes things that are "sparkly." She loves all kinds of animals, especially lions, horses, and canines (dogs and wolves). She likes "princess" type things as well as dragons and dinosaurs. She loves to paint and we go through watercolors like there's no tomorrow. She also enjoys coloring, puzzles, sandboxes, and make-believe.
Calvin- is currently 2 months old (10-21-09) and likes to coo and make faces and smile and blow spit bubbles. He's incredibly handsome I might add.
Tim- He's my husband. He likes video games, like W.O.W. He likes fruity, sour, and gummy candies. He enjoys reading about ancient things such as archeology, old religions and philosophies, and fantasy/sci-fi.
Joni Mitchell, Regina Spektor, Missy Higgins, Ingrid Michaelson, Ani Difranco, Loreena McKennitt, Enya, Lisa Lynn, Poe, Dresden Dolls, The Cranberries, Blackmore's Night, Burning Sage, Lamb, Brooke Annibale, System of a Down, Nirvana, Snake River Conspiracy, etc... I like a lot of different kinds of music... I'm open to songs or groups I may not have heard of before. My only requirement is that I have to be able to sing along to it. If it is too loud, to fast (as in rap) or too ridiculous for me to sing along, then I don't care for it. I've discovered that my main genre's are Indie/Accoustic/Folk-ish type stuff. I love it and can't seem to get enough of it. Currently my all time favorite radio station is Sirius's Coffee House Acoustic Rock.
Way too many to name!!
*Favorite Series: Terry Pratchett-Discworld, Robert Jordan-Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Ink Heart, Anne McCaffrey-Pern, Stephen King-Dark Tower, Stephany Meyer- Twiglight, Cassandra Clare- The Immortal Instruments (if you read and liked Twilight.. you HAVE to read this series.. it's better)
*Recent Reads: Poison Study(great!!), Magic Study(sequal), The Alchemest-The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flammel, Water for Elephants (not what you'd expect, simply wonderful).

Drawing, Painting, Inking, Scrapbooking, Sewing, Crochetting, Cooking, Gardening, Wood Crafting, Sculpty, ... um really about anything... my husband jokes that I will "craft" anything not tied down.

And Nadia, it sounds like we could be best friends! Seven-and-a-half is a bit older than four, but I don't discriminate against people because of their age.
We should swap some time (or maybe we'll get each other for the Hallowe'en swap, hee, hee, hee), and write in a secret cypher.
Fantasy FTW.
