I'm a single female baby boomer (53) living in a suburban community outside of Boston. I'm petless for the first time in 25 years - lost a great cat to a coyote in June. I'm a freelance graphic designer who could use some steady work.

Three years ago I met some kindred spirits in my area who taught me about ATCs, altered art and art journals. I'm a newbie to online trading and want to get established here.

I really prefer using my hands to make art. I like to learn and experiment with new techniques and then pass them on to others.

Gordon Lightfoot, Van Morrison, Cheryl Wheeler, Lyle Lovett, John Gorka. Patty Larkin, Dar Williams, Allison Krauss, Richard Thompson, John Prine, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Smither, etc…

Life would be far less complicated and neater if I could limit myself to one.

I like drawing, photography, knitting, pottery, painting, sewing, papermaking, collaging, stamping, block printing and more.

I'm attracted to things with age and history. Things such as old books, photos, letters, ephemera, spools of thread, toys, buttons, etc… Images that are unusual or unexpected. Beautiful old script or type.

Also like nature, architecture, cats and most other animals.

I get excited finding a card or note which was left in a book decades ago.
