JULY 2017 - I've been hit with a double whammy it seems. I usually send my swaps out from the PO that my box is at or from work. I sent a few out from a box near my house and they're taking their good old time getting there. If you're the recipient (or waiting to be the recipient) of one of those, I'm sorry. If there's still an issue, Please PM me and we'll fix it, but I think I've taken care of it. I am never using this PO again.
ALSO, at the very end of June, I did something that I never want to ever do again, which is pick up the phone and call 911 for a loved one. We have spent the entirety of July so far (and are predicted to spend the rest of the month) in the hospital. I have done my best to get the swaps out, although I missed marking a couple sent. (Sorry - it seemed more important to get what I promised out in the mail) There's a box across the street from the hospital; I don't know how fast it gets mail out vs being at a (good) post office.
If you think I missed getting something to you, please drop me a message. He's moving to a rehab floor and things are getting a little more back to normal, so swap bot (among other things) will calm down a bit. I have not been to the post office since he's been in the hospital, so if you're waiting for me to rate something, that will likely happen by the end of the week.
Again, I'm sorry for the delay. I knew blood clots were serious, I had no idea they could render a full grown man unable to get to the car to get to the hospital on his own.
Biggest pet peeve... People who spell my name wrong. Besides, the most common misspelling I get is actually my step-sister's name, and I'm not sharing with her. :P
- 2017:
~ trying to get all 50 states... As of this post, I need - DE, IA, MS, MT, NE, NH, ND, VA, WV,
~ Would love to have all of Rachel Ignotofsky's women scientist cards. Currently have - Curie, Horney, Merian, Mirzakhani, Yalow. 5/50 :)
I live in Nashville with my boyfriend and two cats. I am a nanny. I read, I write. I love hiking.
I collect postcards. In fact, I am trying for 2017 this year, and well, it is slow going.
I am really into the Isle of Man and the end of the Hawaiian monarchy. Send me more!
Good info for swap purposes...
I hate tea and coffee. If the swap is not specifically for tea or coffee, please do not send me any. (If I am signed up for that type of swap, I am planning to gift whatever I receive to someone else) this includes flavors (ie tea flavored candy)
I don't like most nuts, so it is probably safest to avoid those, too.
I prefer postcards to be written on and stamped. Blank ones make me sad. Unless the swap specifies an exception, at the very least write on them.
I prefer postcards of locations over random stuff (ie Jacob's Field instead of baseball through the years) although I am always happy to get whatever. The weirder the better. I would much rather have the largest bottle of ketchup than the 200th view of ice in Alaska.
Don't know what to write? Teach me how to say hello in another language. Tell me when you were there or why you bought the postcard. Talk to me about your favorite animal or recommend a good book.
I love crafting but current living conditions limit me to cross stitch, basic knitting, and small sewing projects. If for some reason you are sending me craft stuff, cotton fabric, dmc embroidery floss, aluminum split rings for chain mail, glass or wood beads (please no plastic), yarn
Please don't send me random bits of paper, or friendship books and the like that i am supposed to do something with before passing on. They will likely die with me or get tossed. Exceptions for things like articles. I will save completed ATC/ACEO or zines.
Absolutely hate the color yellow.

We're all grownups here. If you have a problem, let me know. Wouldn't you rather the problem get fixed?
Please also note, I check my PO box once a week. If I haven't said I received your stuff, there's a good chance its sitting at the post office. I won't mark you late if that's the case. That said, if I have it, I have checked it in, you don't need to ask me repeatedly if it got here.

I sent you a message on August 7 which you have not even bothered to read. The swap in question--Reading Log Quarter 2 was due to be sent by JULY 3, and you have not even marked it as sent, contrary to what you claimed in response to my original query from July 19. At this point I don't think I have any choice but to rate this as a "1". I think it's way past time to re-send. If I ever get something, I will re-rate.
Hi, just checking in to see if you received the postcard I sent you. Γ°ΕΈβ’β
