7/15/16 I am back on SwapBot after leaving for a while. When I left, I left a lot of ones. I'm in the process of making amends for these, but in some cases, it isn't possible, as two of the recipients are not on Swap Bot currently. I am doing everything I can to remedy those ones.
2/10/14 Hi world. Just a few things to update you with. I just started a new job where I am working nights. This means that I can sometimes not get back to messages as quickly as I would like. If you feel you need to get in touch with me as quickly as possible, please email me directly. That will get to me so much faster, as I do check my email regularly throughout the day (and night) on my phone, but Swapbot and my phone don't really like each other.
Second, I have been having some trouble with my packages getting to people. I think the great mail troll is eating them. Please let me know if you have not received your package/letter/etc, and I will get another out to you. I do make it a point to mail everything, but apparently there is a bottomless pit in the drop box I use. I am going to try a few others over the next little while to see if I can find one that works better. Thanks so much!

I like quilting. It's pretty awesome. I also read, sew, cook, etc. I teach at a local high school and community college.
FooFaRaw, for those who haven't seen the tv show Firefly, is how one of the characters describes pretty things. I like making pretty things.
I have a puppy (well, a three year old, 65 lb. puppy.) He hates that I craft. He mopes with his head in my lap when I'm sewing. No matter the weather, he thinks we should be at the dog park.
Just so you have a heads up, I am open to both cottons and flannels. As for colors, I am open to anything. I love doing really random colors and prints. Just thought I would let you all know!
As for what to send, I'm working a ton of quilts. I'm really open for anything.
I like dogs, owls, batiks, tribal prints, and things with strong contrast. I like all manner of Halloween fabric, as well as Christmas fabric, though I am not as fond of Santa fabric. I do more Blues and snowmen than Santa stuff.
Favorite colors are blues, greens, teals, reds, and some purples. Orange is also growing on me.
I will use both cotton and polyester thread. I go through quite a bit as I haveany projects going on, so black and white are both really good.
I really like quilting, specifically with 2.5" squares and batiks. I mean, I like a quilt that comes together quickly as well, but there something wonderful about all of those different pieces making something more than you really expected.
I've also been getting into appliquΓΒ© quilting, so fusible would be welcome as well as natural patterns, especially if it is of a cool natural feature in your area.
I'm also getting onto embroidery as well. I don't do much redwork, but am starting to do redwork patterns in blue.
I also crochet. Can't knit to save my life. Right now I'm more on a quilting kick than a crochet kick.
Overall, I really like things that I can make for other people.
With cooking, I like things that come together quickly. Any recipes or cookbooks that fit this are always welcome.
Let's see. Firefly, of course, as mentioned in the about me. I also like Bones, Warehouse 13, Law and Order: SVU, Numb3rs, Castle.
Anything from a smoker's house. I'm allergic to the smoke. If it has been washed really well, then maybe.
I would rather bright, strong colors. I will accept pastels and such, but I prefer really bright patterns, color schemes etc. I'm open to the rainbow, as long as you can see what color it is :-) I would prefer fewer pinks, but if that is all you have to swap, I'll survive. I'll just break it up throughout my quilts.
I'm not a strong fan of cats, or cutsy patterns. I did read somewhere that if it's not cute, you just haven't cut it small enough. That is true most of the time, but I would prefer not to cut fabrics down so small that I can't identify it later. Non sweet cats are okay, I just have gotten a ton of cats that are all soft and sweet and catlike.
Cherry cordials, super dark chocolate, and chamomile tea aren't really top of my list.
I eat almost anything. :-) But I like Milk Chocolate over Dark, and black and green teas over herbals.
I like meat, but I end up eating veggie because it's cheaper.

Hoping you are ok...waiting on at least one swap from you....hope to hear from you soon.
Greeting FooFaRaw!
Unfortunately I will have to drop you from my new swaps until the "1" rating issue is resolved. I hope you are able to get it taken care of quickly and happily because I look forward to you re-joining us in many of my swaps.
thank you! perkl8r
Thanks for being a fab member of FABRIC FANATICS!
Hi! I got the flannel piece with the Eiffel Tower on it and the scooter. So cute! The scooter looks like the one my dad had and is now in the garage of my daughter and son-in-law. Thanks again!
Ha! I sent the owls myself and got two blue owl fat quarters back... We just didn't have the same swap partners...
I have not received your woodland flannel fabric yet.
