I am a mother of three (one boy, two girls), a grandmother of six (four grandsons and two granddaughters) and great grandmother of three (two great grandson and one great granddaughter). I was married for 47 years before cancer won the battle. I work part time at an elementary school, close to Disneyland, CA. I run a computer lab (been doing it since 1984 - working there since 1978). I love my family, job, co-workers, traveling and dancing.
My favorite drink of choice, is usually water (bottled, if you've tasted CA water, you know why). I don't let a day go by without a drink of tea. Hot teas: English or Irish breakfast tea, unusual teas from hidden spots that I find, chocolate, green teas. Cold teas: southern sweet tea, tropical teas, green teas and Starbucks Green Tea Frappuccino, is the bomb! I am game to try any kind of tea, haven't found a Camomile that I enjoy yet. I enjoy Pepsi not Coke, I usually don't drink alcohol, but am trying to drink wines. I prefer sweet wines or wine slushies, and some hard liquor that doesn't have a taste or taste sweet.
Music: I enjoy most music including Dubstep, which I know for my age is unusual. My grandson is known as RJNoise, so I am partial to his music. I listen to country western (old and new style) and music from the 40's through 60's especially. As I said, I do enjoy all music, if it's got a beat and words that I enjoy, so much better. The music adds to my big time enjoyment dancing. . .
Postcards: I enjoy the photo postcards. I like anything unusual. I love handmade ones. I enjoy showing them to my grandkids and great grandkids. I like seeing the stamps and postmark on them (just like when I get my passport stamped). I know it's a bit crazy.
I belong to Julie Nutting swaps and am just getting in to swapping there. I enjoy looking at the many beautiful ones on there. Maybe someday I'll get good at it.
Favorite colors: I'm a blue type of girl, Loving teal, turquoise, aqua and any other blue. I also like lavenders and silvers colors. Sometimes I get on a gold kick as well. Green is another favorite color of mine.
I am just learning/seeing that there are many different types of girl, kids, women stamps from different manufacturers around the world. I'm now attempting to add these cuties to my crafting. Guess it's the great grands and my love of things different and fun.
Books are the gateway to my sleep. I've found in the last eight years that, reading helps me sleep much better. Or if I wake in the middle of the night, it usually helps me get back to sleep.
Favorite authors: Susan Mallery, Donna McDonald, Teri Osborn, and Hamilton, Sharon, to name a few. I enjoy historical English/Irish or Scottish romance books. I've lately been reading mail order books.
